I believe the Jarrett is the 2nd best reciever. He may not run a 4.4, but he's still pretty fast and didn't seem to have trouble getting distance from the defense in college. You don't need to be a speed demon when you are 6-5, around 5 or 6 inches taller than most corners. He has a lot of talent and I see him being pretty darn good in the NFL. You can argue for Meacham but I think it's a joke to put anyone else ahead of him.First two picks went as expected.
Johnson goes to the Lions? :wtf1: This better be happening because of a trade. I swear Johnson is the best player, but he is not what the Lions need. :no3:

I'm okay with drafting talent over needs sometimes, especially when it's someone like Calvin Johnson. The couple Detroit fans I know on message boards seem to be fine with it and even with those 3 straight receivers they got only 1 turned out as good as they wanted...
I don't know what the Browns should do here.. They've got some major offensive positions they need to fill..
f*cking DUMBASS GM, I HAD SO MUCH FAITH IN PS AND HE PULLS THIS sh*t. AD IS GONNA BE ROY, JUST WAIT AND SEE.BROWNS MADE A HUGE MISTAKE, IM GOING NUTS RIGHT NOW
I hate it too...I can understand it, but I want Brady Quinn to drop. I don't like him and I hate Notre Dame. I think Cleveland made the right choice though. The line is in my opinion the most important part of the team and the OT is a huge part of that(literally). And a very, very underrated position. They really needed an improvement there so it was a good pick. Now the Cardinals have to choose between Peterson, Brown and Adams. Maybe they will trade down.

I think it's a huge mistake, but if Crennel believes thats what he wants, I guess it will all work out. Damn though, Quinn would be tremendous for them!!!!

I guess Kitna isn't going anywhere, and I guess McCown is a decent backup for them.
Browns have options though.. In the early 3rd round they can still grab a Michael Bush, who is CRAZY underrated.. But I definitely understand the pick, and you really can't go wrong with Thomas.

Im pretty upset with the Browns. I was really hoping Peterson would get by them. He's been my #1 choice for the Browns all year long. I hope to God he doesn't go to Redskins or Vikings.Quinn would have a been a good pick for the Browns also.Joe Thomas will be good. But this is a shock. I felt their offense needed a QB
I'm glad Detroit went ahead and picked Cal Johnson with their 2nd pick....I know they've picked WR's in the 1st round in the past, but this guy is just going to be an absolute star...Combine him with Roy Williams, and you've got a better tandem than Fitzgerald/Bolden for the future....They really need to work on their defense and offensive line though.

Ugh, if we get Troy Smith I'll jump for joy though.

I'm just making that statement as a fan.

Anyone who thinks Detroit picking CJ was bad, well, your wrong. We can still trade him to either Tampa(who has Adams, who I want) or Atlanta. And if we keep him, oh darn, I guess we'll have to settle for one of the best prospects to ever come out. As for QB, Kitna was very solid for us last year. Nothing amazing, but solid. I think taking Quinn would have been a bad move, especially with guys like Stanton, Beck, and Edwards available early 2nd. I'm still hoping we can trade and get more picks, but we'll see.
I'm guessing the Lions are gonna take Stanton at the beginning of the second round. It's the only way to explain why they chose Calvin. That actually would be a smart move by Millen, Stanton could easily replace Kitna in a few years. :winkglasses:
