Some posters here have been saying they were willing to over-pay to keep Nurk. 4 or 5 years ago, people were willing to over-pay to sign Monroe. If you recall, there were posters right here who were huge fans of acquiring him. Now, he is still healthy and not exactly old - and he is still struggling to keep his career afloat. Monroe is an object lesson in why it is so dangerous to over-pay. What's so hard to understand?
All good. Just hard to understand now, after some time has past, why people still thought I was as all serious and not just playing fire with fire and got out of hand without realizing it. There are literally hundreds of players you could say that about, Monroe in particular has no relevance to Nurk because they are completely different types of centers. Also, Monroe just finished a contract that paid him about $18 million a year. Nurk is getting about 2/3 per year. Monroe would be a horrible fit with Dame and CJ, Nurk is a good fit.
