The San Antonio Spurs narrowly defeated the Washington Wizards, 95-90, in a down-to-the-wire showdown at Cox Pavillion in the Las Vegas Summer League on Sunday. San Antonio led by as much as 20 in the second quarter, but very nearly fell victim to a comeback by Washington. After cutting the deficit to just five points, the Wizards scored two quick layups to come within one in the fourth quarter. Washington had the chance to take the lead after recovering a blocked shot, but failed to capitalize. The Spurs then expanded the lead to three after Jaron Blossomgame put back a Lonnie Walker miss. With just 6.3 seconds remaining, Washington was unable to hit a 3-pointer to tie, and San Antonio walked away victorious after Blossomgame knocked down a pair of free-throws. read more http://www.nba.com/games/20180708/WASSAS#/sl-recap
