<div class='quotetop'>QUOTE </div><div class='quotemain'>According to sources with knowledge of the situation, Gilbert Arenas will appear on the cover of EA Sports' "NBA Live."Popular on multiple video game consoles, "NBA Live" has featured Tracy McGrady, Dwyane Wade, Carmelo Anthony, Kevin Garnett and Tim Duncan on the cover.According to the source, Arenas was chosen over Cleveland's LeBron James.</div>http://realgm.com/src_wiretap_archives/458...er_of_nba_live/<span style="font-family:Arial">I could care less to be honest, the only basketball game worth playing in my opinion is NBA 2K7. At the same time, I'm happy to see him get some recognition. Lebron is considered the face of the NBA, and he still hasn't graced a video game cover... NBA 2K8 maybe?</span>

NBA Live sucks... so it doesn't matter to me.At least Gil doesn't have to worry about getting hurt because of his cover appearance. :lol:But congratulations to him...All I know is they better not put Shaq on 2k for the third straight year.

Gil will probably tell NBA Live what they need to fix in their video games. [IMG]I'm so glad he beat out LeTravel for this cover, even if it does mean nothing.

For a game that has about 5 players ranked in the 90's. I'll be shocked if Arenas is one of them.I guess this is good for Live fans...if there is any.Im looking forward to see who makes 2K8

I have never played 2K7. Is it better than Live because Live really sucks. It's like the same game every year. Are the graphics better on 2K7? :dunno:

^I highly recommend 2K7 over Live. It's cheap. Only 20 bucks I believe for PS2 or Xbox. But for only 20 bucks you get a quality game. And yes graphics are better on 2K7. It beats Live's crap arcade style by far

The 2k series are just plain better than anything EA puts out, and more and more people are figuring it out every year. :dribble:

I was just wondering if he'd get a video game cover for his great performance this year. [IMG]

I don't think Live suchs but it's not as good as it use to be. Imo the last good NBA Live was 2004 and I thought 06 for the Xbox was ok but 04 was the last really good one. I'm one of those rare fans that like both NBA Live and NBA 2K and buy both them of every year but Ive liked 2K better in the past 2 years.Anyway with it being the annvasary of NBA Live 98 and all I hope they can put players like Barkley, Ewing, Mitch Richmand, Dennis Rodman and alot of others who were in that game as legends to remember that game including coverboy Tim Hardaway. I'd also like it if they introduced something new kinda like NBA Live brought the crossover butten into video games. Another cool thing they could do is put all the Menu music from NBA Live 98 in the game as options for Menu music. I enjoyed listening to songs like that rather then the same rap songs I can hear on the radio or by the CD for that they use now days.

<div class='quotetop'>QUOTE </div><div class='quotemain'>In fact, the only reason Arenas was talking Saturday was because of a video game. Arenas is a self-proclaimed video game addict, and he's ecstatic that he'll be on the cover of EA Sports NBA Live '08, to be released in October."Man, this is wonderful," Arenas said. "Coming from where I am, second-round pick, I had to fight all my career, and now I made the cover of a video game. In high school they said I was most likely to be on a Wheaties box. I'll take the cover of a video game." Gilbert called this conference to congratulate himself for this accolade, meanwhile the Wizards are down 3-0 in the first round of the playoffs to Cleveland".</div>

Its a lot better and more realistic as well.
