It is not the natural order of things for our children to pass before we do. Our jobs are to educate them so they can replace us as stewards of the Earth. NO child should die before their parent. No child. I don't know what I'd do. I'm not sure how I'd go on. I am SO sorry for your loss John. It's a tragedy of the hugest proportions and I wouldn't wish that type of sadness on my worst enemy. Sending positive energy to you and yours to somehow get through this. I don't think I could.
This. Do you have any pictures or stories? How old was he? Everyone grieves in their own way, but it may be helpful for you to talk about how much of a light he was in your life. My boy is my greatest achievement. Give me an hour to talk about him and I'll fill it with 2 hours of his one liners and anecdotes.

With all that you and Mrs. Sly have done for the furry friends of our world, I'd like to think God has had Corbin playing in a sea of puppies for these past five years......and he's just keeping them entertained until you get there. I can't think of a better reward.
Sorry to hear man. I think it does get easier, and I hope it has. You just never forget. It is nice to remember, even if the memories can be saddening.
