No one that was probably offered. But I would not limit myself to established 20 pt scorers. Ingram, Simmons, Brown, Tatum , Dennis Smith all come to mind. I just don't think Pop really made that stipulation.

Kawai's uncle manager whatever was pushing NYC as a destination for him as well. The weather there is quite similar to Toronto. The ASG was during a cold snap and people that live in Toronto were staying indoors as well.

The tax issue is moot a considering he wanted to leave the Spurs who could've offered him the most money I think and go to California which has a comparable tax rate to Ontario. If his primary residence is somewhere in the US I believe he splits his taxes between both last time someone explained it to me.

The first round pick becomes two seconds the year after and Toronto isn't lacking young talent so not such a blow. Ujiri valued OG and Pascal Siakam above Poeltl who is a good player but one of several on the roster.

Whether Kawai re-signs is another matter that can be sorted later. A finals appearance is more likely with Toronto than the Lakers or Clippers with GSW and Houston in the way. Dunno what Kawai actually cares about.

DeRosan is one of the few American born stars that actually wanted to re-sign with Toronto. (Bosh, Carter, McGrady)
Seems like Kawhi is a long shot. I hope he does, but I doubt he will.

Bosh, Carter, DeRozan, Lowry all re-signed. Kawai is unpredictable but that gamble is worthwhile if we reach new heights in the playoffs. We mightve maxed out with DD.

Is Kawhi healthy though? Can he play?
