Assume we make no more transactions, the rotation might look like

    Nurk/Biggie
    Aminu/Collins
    Harkless/ET
    CJ/Curry
    Lillard/Baldwin

Jaynes thinks Baldwin will have trouble getting minutes because Curry backup Lillard. Thoughts?

I think Curry will backup CJ.

Absolutely agree. But the point of the question is really "Will Baldwin play?" If Curry comes off the Bench as a 1, Baldwin probably won't get significant minutes.

I think those guards will all play the 1 and 2 at different times of the season and all of them will get decent run. I think Trent and Simons are the guys we won’t see a lot of this year unless they decide to play really small.

My hope is those two are a good enough back ups it’s allows Stotts to have Dame and CJ on the bench a bit more so they can have fresh legs. I think Curry is the more natural 2 and Baldwin the more natural 1.

napier was dame's primary back up last year but other than bringing the ball across the timeline, he was something less than primarily a distributor. curry could easily slide in to that role.
more like the opponents point guard defender when paired with cj, while possibly relinquishing distribution responsibilities when dame returned or WBIV takes the court with him.

I have a feeling that Baldwin won't play half as much as we want him to.

Curry and Baldwin make a good pairing. Baldwin can guard either guard and Curry can't guard either.

Baldwin will take the Bazz role as pt guard....Curry will sub in at the 2 or 3.....Nurk and Chief will start...Collins and Swanigan will sub in...Layman and Trent will get some play a SF...Mo will start at the 3 and ET will sub at the 3...I expect Stotts will experiment up to the allstar break with different rotations and settle into a 10 man roster after the break....if Swanigan has problems, Meyers will sub in for either him or Nurk

McCollum will be the backup PG.

    Lillard (36) / McCollum (12)
    McCollum (23) / Curry (25)

    Something like that.

I could see them using Curry very sparingly as a small ball 3, but not often. He's only 6'2.

I’d say the best scenario would be for him to play off the ball. Probably he gets some time with Dame and some time when ET is handling the point.

Curry takes Bazz's 20min plus a few of Pat's and more Zach and Hark soaks up most of Ed's minutes.

The rest are fighting for scraps.

I don't see Wade playing much unless Seth isn't healthy or ET is traded.

Curry is only like 6'2 I think, but Baldwin can guard shooting guards so I think they could play together.

Stotts wants to shoot more threes than last season so that's good.

My desire is for Baldwin to be the primary backup 1 and Curry to be the backup 2.

My expectation is more in line with what @BonesJones posted, that Curry will play in the backcourt alongside CJ, but that both will be playing primarily off the ball with Turner running the offense.

For my desire to become reality, Turner will likely have to be moved, and I don't think that's happening.
