We all know the GS story, after decades of no one caring they popped into maybe the best team of all time, then got an MVP candidate and now have what many consider the best Center in the NBA.

So my question is how has it effected how you watch the NBA?

My dad has all but stopped watching the last year or so, after being a Blazer fan since they came into existence. I have to admit it's made me at times go well these games don't matter. I'm a basketball junkie, and that's what has kept me coming back. This has been hard on me personally as he helped mold me into the basketball junkie I am today.

I think so much of the "frustration" we have around here is that GS is so good, it's frustrating feeling like we have no shot at beating them.

To me the difference between most dynasties of the past and this one is that those other ones felt at least realistically beatable unless you go back to the Bill Russell Celtics. This one you feel like it takes 3/5th's of an allstar team, and you cant really have any significant weakness.

For me personally, I respect the heck out of what GS has built there. I loved Curry and Green in college but can't stand them now. Thompson I'm kind of indifferent towards. The Cousins signing to me isn't even a bad thing since he's hurt, GS can't really do much better than they already do, and it kept another team from signing him long term (at least for a year). I don't mind dynasties or super teams.

Now that leads me to the one thing about Golden State that completely pisses me off: Kevin Durant. Fuck that guy. He doesn't have a ring in my eyes. I don't know what the right word is but I feel like he had to cheat to win. As a super competitive person myself I could never willingly just join a dominate team to win. I have no respect for that. I would rather never win a title than win one that way. Then to be such a dick about it afterwards towards people on twitter and to say that it's harder to play on such a good team. Get the fuck outta here with that bullshit. It's pathetic. The fact is he isn't good enough to do what LeBron did this past year (carry a crappy roster). Heck, he couldn't even win with a pretty dang good roster with 3 eventual MVP level players on it and good role players.

Funny was hanging with my buddy last night who's a warriors fan and even he said it wasn't fun anymore when I brought up Cousins. He said it was way more enjoyable before they won their first ring.

No problem with it yet. They can't sustain all those contracts forever, it's just a really good run that I am jealous of. Also most guys on GS seem decent and are entertaining., I have a hard time hating on them. In my opinion a worse nba issues is Los Angeles and their ability to build super teams based on location, Hollywood and weather. LA and their entitled fan base are literally trying to create a trade of Lillard to the Lakers based on their bullshit. Last year I was actually rooting for Lebron in the playoffs, this year I am disgusted by his move and would happily see the Warriors go 82-0 if it kept the Lakers from winning it.

As it should be. Check my sig. That team winning a ring is no accomplishment at all. And Kevin Durant's legacy will be that he didn't earn a damn thing and he's afraid of competition. No guts, no glory. That punk ass has no guts.

It makes me unlikely to watch games casually AND has even soured the fun in believing my team will ever have a chance.

When I talk about basketball with my dad he likes to point out that the Cleveland Browns a team that won 0 games last year has similar odds to win the Super Bowl as The Jazz a legit playoff team currently have to win the NBA championship. It’s weird because I realize the Blazers are far away, that there isn’t much drama at this point... I just can’t stop watching basketball.

It solidified my view that the NBA is broken. The Warriors are now what I would consider the NBA's first ever Dream Team. Just when you thought Super Team's were enough...

Cross that with the fact that the Blazers have one of the NBA's best back courts and couldn't beg, borrow or steal a name player to join our roster last season, nor do I believe that they will be able to do so again this season. It seems pretty clear that there is a big G-damn problem with the NBA.

Most of Golden States dream team is home grown though. It could have been OKC if they didn't mess it up.

It's confirmed to me that the NBA absolutely MUST have a Hard Cap. Only way to balance competition going forward. It's what makes the NFL so great. EVERY franchise has a chance to win it. Even a little drinkwater town like Green Bay Wisconson can win it all.

When franchises start showing loyalty to players...players may start showing loyalty to franchises...until then you just float like a butterfly and sting like a bee

The NFL also has a revenue sharing system that helps balance larger and smaller market income for local broadcasting and advertising.
