<div class='quotetop'>QUOTE </div><div class='quotemain'>The New England Patriots have reached a trade agreement in principle to acquire wide receiver Randy Moss from the Oakland Raiders for a fourth-round round choice in Sunday's second day of the NFL draft. There are still details to be completed, including Moss passing a physical examination by the Patriots' medical staff, but league sources said they expect the deal to be competed. As part of a trade, Moss would restructure and perhaps even extend his current contract, which calls for base salaries of $9.75 million in 2007 and $11.25 million in 2008.</div>http://sports.espn.go.com/nfl/draft07/news/story?id=2853116

Honestly, Raiders just wanted to move him so I guess they got a good deal. But if Branch can go for a 1st, why can't Moss? All well, Pats got Randy so lets see if he can turn his career around and Tom Brady and him can hook up.

I'm really not happy at all about this. This guy is a f*cking idiot. He is nowhere near what a Patriot player is, this guy WILL be a disruption, count on it.

No he won't...he was only a disruption with Oakland because they had a sh*tty teamHe'll shut up when he starts catching touchdowns every game and winning games...Look at Corey Dillon..he had a bad attitude and then came here, played great and won a ring

Wooo! I am pretty pumped about this, actually. WTJ, remember when the Celtics brought in Ricky Davis and half the fan base was basically thinking "greeeat, here we go..." But he turned it around. Now, I'm not saying Moss will or won't shape up, but at least give him a chance and be happy that we actually have 2 legit receivers now. I'm pretty happy about this.

I'm willing to give Moss the benefit of the doubt until he fucks up. His past isn't great, but until he shows otherwise I guess I'll have to trust him to not goof up off the field and to be a good team player and to play Patriots Football not Randy Moss Football.

I'm going to give Moss a chance, but I really do not like the guy and I think he will stir some problems this year because he won't be Mr. #1 with all the talented wide recievers we have now. He has all the talent in the world but his attitude gets the best of him sometimes and that does not fly with the New England Patriots.

To WTJ...I wish I could show you this play Randy Moss made when he was on Minnesota..he IS a team player..when the guy is motivated to win and believes in his team and his team believes in him he's VERY effectiveand he is definitely worth a 4th round pickYou wouldn't complain and you would give it your all if you were on Oakland? What's he gonna do when there were three different quarterbacks and they're all getting sacked, not throwing him the ball?

I would have rather we gotten a package type of deal for him instead of just a pick. BTW Who was the 4th pick? :lol:Anyway, I'm glad we got rid of the piece of crap. He's arguably the best receiver in football but his attitude is worse than TO's.

Even if you are on a horrible team, that doesn't mean it's alright for you to act that way. Besides, he's had this same bi*ch ass attitude before he even arrived in Oakland. He was just as much as a cancer when he was with the Vikings..or did you forget that already? And you can't blame that Vikings team being bad for that. The Vikings were a pretty good team when Moss was there, if remember correctly. They lost in the playoffs to the Eagles that year...and the Patriots eventually won...but regardless, Moss has always has this attitude.

It shouldn't be when he's motivated, he should always be motivated. I agree that he is worth a 4th round pick, I never said the Pats got screwed or anything, I just don't like Moss and I'm not going to change my attitude about the guy just because my home team traded for him.And also dude are you kidding me? I wouldn't give it my all if I were on Oakland. Have you ever played sports before? You are going to have losing seasons, I played on a traveling basketball team that went 2-18 one year, that doesn't mean just because I'm losing I'm going to say F*ck It we suck. That is what defines great players from good players. They're always trying and always playing hard. Barry Sanders never took a play off when his team sucked for year in a row. Even look at a guy like Pierce, he was playing this year with two injuries and his team was the worst in the league. Just because your team isn't good, doesn't give you a free pass to be a lazy ass.

You shouldnt be a jerk and a moron even if your team does suck, thats inexcusable, and theres no reason to keep a player like that on your team. Theres TONS of players that are still team players on sucky teams, and they get respect for that - Moss is respect little as a team player.

Randy Moss' problems have been largely exaggerrated. Everyone loved him in Minnesota, the Raiders are just a sh*tty, terrible organization that always has problems with players because it's a second class team. The Patriots team won't deal with his problems, I doubt there will be peoblems, he's nothing like Terrell Owens. I wouldn't want him on the Packers because we are a young team, but you guys are so close to winning that it's a nice boost.

He is a good fit in N.E. and they got him at a fairly low risk cost. So, it's an awesome trade for New England. The Raiders are really cheap, that's why I feel it can be frustrating playing for them.
