Let's say Nurkic was 2017/Portland Nurk Fever for Denver (and Jokic never existed). And let's say CJ played for Orlando and was an All Star. And let's say Dame was All NBA First Team. Now let's say both CJ and Nurkic decided to come to Blazers as free agents this year. Would that make us a Super Team?
You win. I will go back and edit my post to say "PRIME Elgin Baylor". It's not easy anticipating every smart alec remark on here, but I should have caught that one
Yep. Super teams are a couple of games away from missing the playoffs and get swept in the first round.
It was never in doubt that we were making playoff last year. We went 0-4 on a road trip and lost to Memphis and Dallas and STILL got 3 seed.
Okay, just because I like your enthusiasm, i will try to play along. IF we already had a credible starting five and a half way decent bench AND were able to pick up the three mentioned without losing much talent, then we would be a whole lot better than we are at this time. A "Super Team"? It would depend on who the original starting five were to begin with, but I honestly have to believe that we would be in somewhat the same position...still need two very good players, not just roster filler.
We had a 13 game win streak and were still only a couple games from missing the playoffs to teams with worse injury luck. Same logic, applied differently.
Hell yes they're a SUPERTEAM. To us Blazers fans they sure are. Golden State, and the Fakers and all their bandwagon fans can eat a D*^K.
Yep. Without that 13 game win streak, we were middle of the road. Had we even went 11-2, it'd of changed everything.
