I like the Blazers top 3 more, but theyre top 3 has more growth left in them than ours does. They're already very close and they have a bigger window with more growth potential from their core. Jamal Murray has legitimate all-star potential.

I just don't see how it's disrespect. They were 4 games worse last year and a couple the year before, and their youth has more top end potential (Murray, Jokic, MPJ specifically) Therefore, they have a brighter future. What part of that are you arguing?

    No, because I'm not clueless.

They're 3-4 games worse than us. Even if IT doesn't help much, he'll still help them win an extra 2 games or so at least. They were playing Mudiay and Devin Harris last year... Even the crappy version of IT is an upgrade. If Millsap is healthy all year or if we don't have such good injury luck, that's another two games. BOOM, there even with us. Plus, our top players are in their prime. Their's are still very young with a ton of untapped potential, and they have a bigger window of opportunity. Therefore, they have a brighter future.

You can't make this shit up...

This is exactly what I'm trying to point this out to you!!! By using your logic in one way or another, you can paint completely different pictures, so it's a logically flawed to only reference a specific stretch to try and make a point, whether it be negative, it positive. All that shows is positive or negative bias.

Denver scares me this year. IT along with Murray and Beasley and Harris will be a dynamic backcourt. Barton and Millsap at the forward spots are better than any forwards we have. Then unicorn Jokic, with their frontcourt backed by MPJ and Plums.

With that crew...screw defense. If I had to pick 5 teams to watch next year, they'd be one of them.

Clearly GS is a super team.

Would put Boston and Philly as potential super teams.

Toronto and Houston are contending teams.

The rest have work to do.

And they were close the year before, too, added Paul Millsap and additional young assets and still finished behind us, yet again. Jokic is extremely talented on offense, but he's also soft, both physically and mentally. They lack both rim protection and perimeter defense. It doesn't seem they have addressed either need in any significant way. If anything, adding Isaiah Thomas makes their perimeter defense even worse.

Agreed. To me Denver needs to prove they are better. They remind me of other teams in the past that were fun to watch on offense, but never really contended because of defensive inadequacies.

They dont learn from thier past mistakes. Denver themselves have been down the “all offence no defence” trial before. Hell they took it as far as it could go.

Technically, they did improve their defense last season. They went from 29th to 25th. Probably the 38 games Paul Millsap played for them, but now he's another year older and they added Isaiah Thomas to their backcourt.

Guess who led DEN in DBPM last season - Mason Plumlee. I loved Plumlee's hustle and effort, but Plum's narrow shoulders and short arms was one of the reason our defense sucked so bad pre-Nurk.

They can score with most teams, but you need to be better than bottom on 5 defense if you want to compete in the Western Conference.

Jamal Murray is good but as long as Curry, Westbrook, Harden, Lillard, CP3, Mitchell, and Klay Thompson are in the league, he won't be in the All Star game. I didn't even mention DeRozen or Butler. Only way Murray makes All Star team is if Nuggets have the best record in the league. Even then, Jokic would probably be their only All Star representative because of how many All-Time Great guards are in the West.

We're talking about level of play, not actual selections. You missed the entire point.

Someone who gets it. Can't take anyone seriously when they say Denver has a more promising future than ours. Jesus.

Millsap missed half of the year last year, and IT doesn't fix their problems, he just make a their strengths stronger. Plus, were talking about the future in terms of longevity and potential.. I didn't really see you address those.
