Lavar Ball needs to shut up already

I think it is an interesting question. Ball wins on defense, rebounding and fast break. Dame wins on everything else including shooting, overall offense, half court, leadership, crunch time etc.

As unpopular as this may be, Ball would be a great backcourt mate next to Dame because of their differences.

There isn’t a GM in the league who would rather have Ball over Dame. Not even Magic.

Totally agree. Dames leadership and crunch time skills alone make him the clear winner. My point is that Ball does some things better.
I know the “advanced” stats say Ball was a good defender but I sure didn’t see it, unfortunately the Lakers are on TV a lot too he seemed like a pretty bad defender if you ask me. He does seem to be a better rebounder Than Dame.

I mean to your point they bring different skill sets and I agree, but I’m not sure what Ball brings is more than fringe back up PG abilities like MCW type.

How exactly is Lonzo better at defense?

While Ball does have some me good skills, I think the jury is still out on whether he can be a starting point guard on a playoff team. He is young so we will see. Right now it still feels 50:50 that he could end up a bust.

They only say stuff like this because they kept saying. Lillard future laker.
It never happened. Now they're all like. 'oh well Lonzo is better anyway'.

Typical Laker bullshit.
To be fair the Blazer fans (us) do this a bit too. We really want a guy then we don’t get him it’s like we’ll we didn’t want him anyways ...

The Ball kid is an excellent passer....this much I'll give him...that's his strong skillset

The eye test for me as I live in L@ker land. He is certainly longer than Dame. I believe his advance stats support that as well. He’s not a lock down defender, and Dame did improve a bit last year, but I think Ball is a bit better, especially at his age.

For size to size Dame is a good rebounder and Ball is decent. Ball is not a good defender and terrible shooter. Ball is passing is above average passer due to he can make the basic pass to another player. Does he make highlight passes the answer not really. Ball is still young and I almost can tell you if the Spurs would of made that trade with the Lakers with Leonard, Ball might have been a Spur. Anyway I don't think Ball is durable he properly will be hurt all the time. He was hurt in his summer league and he was hurt last year. Then he had procedure done this summer. Dame been the opposite and he is a better leader. Ball won't get all them assist this year due to LeBron that dominate the ball.

I think Wade Baldwin would own Lonzo on the court. I don't watch the Lakers but I watched Lonzo play in college ...defense there was not his strong suit.

to me, they're both s0-s0 defenders, so claiming one is better than the other is like breaking your left pinky is better than breaking your right pinky.
