my debit card has my photo on it...never used an ID to purchase groceries in my life...when it comes to Trump, you can't purchase Big Macs at the grocery store or KFC

I wish my debit card had my ID on it. Since it doesn't, i just put "CHECK ID" on the back. So that way when I go to restaurants, etc, if the waiter/tress is doing their job, they'll ask for my ID.

Yup. Most of the time I used a credit or debit card that contained information about my identity.

I've never seen a grocery store refuse cash purchases period.

I agree with a lot of liberal positions, but I have a really hard time with their stance on not having to show some form of ID to vote. There would have to be easy solutions to obtain ID for those who don’t have a driver’s license or passport, but that should be solvable.

If you use one of those purchase options you have.

You probably should show ID to vote. I don't agree with non citizens voting. I get that stance. My only qualm is that it defranchises millions of impoverished voters who can't afford an ID card. Making ID cards cheaper would be a way towards fixing this.

I’m in favor of being issued a free ID card upon request when you register to vote. Minimal background check and then provided free of charge.

But the system knows you (or someone you shared your card with) was there.

Except failure in some states to pay parking tickets means you can't renew your license or get state ID.

If you're going to make ID a requirement to vote then you have to offer a free ID option, otherwise it becomes a poll tax.

It knows someone was there. The Bank is pretty good about knowing my habits...which is kind of creepy. One of my cards got stolen once and some charges were put on it. But the bank knew it wasn't me and stopped it, put my money back, and informed me. They were like wait a minute Chris doesn't shop at Banana Republic.

Ain’t that what I said, dog? Those laws you refer to should be ruled unconstitutional.

Agreed. If ID’s are to be required, which in theory I’m fine with, then it needs to be both free and a very quick and easy process open to everyone who has a legal right to vote.

There was a state that was passing an ID bill that permitted NRA id’s but not college id’s. That’s just purely political. Make it a state or federal ID requirement, free and easy and I’ll support it even though there is scant evidence of a need for this since there is virtually none of this type of voter fraud.

I don't get this objection to an ID???? Who lives in Oregon that is eligible to vote that does not have a drivers license? That can't get a State ID card???

How do they get by in daily life without one?
