The Munson family lost a husband and father. Baseball and the Yankees lost a great player. A man who hustled every day he was on the diamond. Thurman ranked with the very best, I appreciate every moment I got to watch you play baseball.

I’ve been Yankee fan my whole life or ever since I saw my Dad root for the perennial losers from Brooklyn, better
known as “Dem Bums”. I rooted for Yogi, for Ellie, for Jorge, for Girardi, even Blanchard, but for me Thurman
was different.....Yankee pinstripes was his mantra on steroids. He was ‘in your face type of player’ and he did not
care what any player thought about him. He was clutch......as a hitter and a catcher. The total player.
    Always remembered. RIP.

The Yankees won a Division Championship in '80 and were swept in the playoffs, Won a pennant in '81 but lost the series. Not having Thurman Munson made a huge impact on that team.

imho, still known as Dem Bums or Damned Bums,....lol-

Not too often do we see any team, change out their middle infield with 2 gold glovers b4 the Trade Deadline. Our middle INF is ok, but wtf is with our SP staff....??? If only this team had a solid core 4 of Pitching....

Bums stunk (always do) b4 June, playing .500 or less than thru May. 10 game back in the NL-West as of May 16th; with Kershaw on the DL, yet CK couldn't win a game to save his ass; until his return from the DL.....
Yanx were hot as hell, when the Bums couldn't buy a win. Now, ah shit; back in 1st in the NL-West...
