The only problem is that they only included one, count 'em, 1, set of dog tags. Who the hell knows who the other 54 sets of remains are?

    Another of Trump's brilliant accomplishments.

I feel that to receive the remains of fifty five fallen soldiers, regardless of who got them back, is a good thing.

How you can belittle this in order to berate the President is beyond me.

Did you miss my point? I thought it was extremely obvious. We don't know whether 54 of those 55 sets of remains are fallen American soldiers.

Do I care about those soldiers? Obviously. I've got buddies at the VA hospital who fought over there. My uncle was a highly decorated paratrooper over there in the Army. My uncle told stories that really stirred up the emotions.

So far, the doctors say the remains seem to be Caucasians and those of African descent. DNA analysis will be performed and we will know far more than we do now.

No, I do not believe that I missed your point. Given your history on here, I do not believe that you were honestly giving The President any sort of compliment, rather a sarcastic comment instead. I think you were fishing for another Trump pile on, but the fact that you had fifty some odd views, and those that viewed decided that it did not deserve a reply, would tend to tell me that others found it in poor taste as well.

I unfortunately knew this thread would be what it is. If Trump had turned down 54 soldiers because they didn't have dogtags the results would have been the same "that draft dodger doesn't care about our troops!!!!"

As Lanny was kind enough to point out, the remains appear to be Caucasian and African, and DNA testing will determine more as time goes by.

You may not be aware that in every theater of combat it is not uncommon for the only thing to be returned during the conflict, is a dog tag.

We are taught in the Army that when you come across a dead American soldier, you stick one of his two dog tags up his ass. I am not making this up.

I suppose soldiers blown up by some violent munition might mean there might not be any body still in piece that you could attach a dog tag to. But 54 out of 55 seems like a high percentage of deceased soldiers with no dog tag.

Does that mean they are not American? The DNA testing will tell us more. Let's hope they're all deceased American soldiers so they're families can have some solace. Every family deserves the remains of their deceased loved ones.

Many views are from the web spider bots that move repeatedly through threads to load what is said into the different search engines. A more accurate telling of who have viewed this thread is at the bottom of it.

Think what you want, but it's a fact that most people can't abide by Trump.

Yeah, we were taught to force between the teeth as a first option. Second option was to insert in body cavity.

I have to agree that the number seems high at first glance, but I would have thought the easy ones would have been returned a long time ago. Another reason for no tags is if these were prisoners, which I would tend to lean toward.

Prisoners should have retained their dog tags. However, we're dealing with the North Koreans.

When my oldest sister-in-law was a teenager during the war, she encountered some wounded Amarican GIs in Keong Ju (pronounced like it's spelled). They were lying on the ground on stretchers. The N. Koreans were rapidly advancing along with the Chinese and she knew there was no way they could evacuate these GIs. That meant they would be instantly killed when captured. She realized this and began to cry at their fate. On wounded American soldier saw her crying and tried to offer her some chewing gum. His kindness and fate made her cry even more. That bothered her the rest of her life.

@SlyPokerDog by protecting this sort of shit by Lanny, is making this place intolerable.
I find his post more insulting than you could possible do to me.
    Only a total ass would make this comment;
"The only problem is that they only included one, count 'em, 1, set of dog tags. Who the hell knows who the other 54 sets of remains are?

    Another of Trump's brilliant accomplishments."

Saying someone is an ass or an asshole is a personal insult.

Addressing what Lanny said and why it is not a personal insult, that's easy, he didn't insult anyone.

Addressing why you feel what Lanny said is personally insulting to you, that's a bit harder, actually I'm a bit confused on that. What I do know is that we had armed forces from 20 other countries fighting with us in the Korean war. The president has stated both on social media and in political rallies that all of the remains returned are American. That has not been determined. Even if there were dog tags with every set of remains that would still not prove that the remains belong to the dog tag provided. Considering that North Korea as broken every promise made to us and continually lies about the state of their of their nuclear and missile programs I think it would be a fallacy of logic to believe without extensive scientific testing that these remains are of American soldiers.
