For a little while now, anytime a tweet appears in a thread, I have to refresh the page to be able to see it. Sometimes I have to refresh a couple times. There's a "loading tweet" message with the Twitter logo (see below), so I know there's a tweet there, but no text or image or whatever the content of the tweet was. Anyone else having this problem? What do I need to do to fix it?

I've had that problem for ages. It's especially bad when it's a large thread and there are lots of tweets present.

...this is how the supposed leader of the free world behaves...yes, let's cut down the trees...and not one word about condolences to the victims of these fires.

...yet still his supporters blindly cling to the "so what?" mentality.

jesus….the jerk thinks we'll stop the fires by bringing in logging companies...who the fuck says "tree clearing" .....? sounds like he wants new golf course property...this is his way of saying no disaster relief for California...they didn't vote for him. Somebody should tell him it's called clear cutting or logging....let's put loggers to work in a forest fire!! This will not bode well for the GOP in November....build a wall around the forests! We should never let those nasty fires spread around the woods ….it's all environmentalists fault! They should know how to stop lightning by now damnit! If those Hawaiians didn't build houses they wouldn't have a problem when a volcano erupts....damned environmentalists again! We need to stop rivers from flowing into the oceans.! Build a wall around them!

He just wants his trumpanistas to back him, and he knows whatever garbage he says they'll eat up, which will lead to this shit actually happening. It's nothing more than that.

Apparently he thinks rivers will flow back up the mountains and water the manzanita....and of course the valleys won't flood when they plug the rivers...truly garbage from a guy who pretends to know how to build and develop property....digger pines and sugar pines in N California will stop producing sticky pine cones that explode and start more fires....watering them just makes bigger pine cones to ignite...my son's best friend is fighting those fires right now and risking his life everyday...why not tweet about firemen working tirelessly fighting 17 major fires at the same time? Or the people who've lost their lives and homes.....because really...he doesn't care for them..all signs point to Trump melting down in face of his own fucked up problems.

Yes, the idea of responsible logging to reduce the size and intensity of wildfires is completely a Trumpian invention.

We have responsible logging practices in Oregon....clear cutting is restricted...the BLM land for thousands of acres behind my property is thinned regularly and responsibly...I planted trees decades ago behind logging companies...what fuels raging fires is drought and usually lightning...I live a few miles from a huge mill and they are very good at forest management....not so long ago, they just clear cut everything...and a lawyer in the capitol is pretty far removed from the reality of forest management...however there is big money in clear cutting at the expense of wildlife and the natural soil bank composting program...fires have happened in the forest for many centuries before man settled there. I think we have some of the best forest management crews in the country currently...California is drying up.....record temperatures of 113 degrees in N California are not caused by trees...oops...the global warming reality ….another environmental conspiracy? I think not. Sorry....Trump is full of shit on this one. You don't want trees...you must not like wildlife and soil...and love erosion....check out mining practices with water cannons back in the gold rush...those forests have never recovered...looks like the moon....trees provide much needed oxygen and filter carbon dioxide from the air...along with many things....you really want our nat'l parks to be barren? Tree's also hold water tables in the high country...clear cutting the Sierra Mountains would be like cutting off an arm so you wouldn't have to trim your finger nails anymore.

He also appears to want to divert water from endangered fish species such as salmon to fighting fires. Oh yeah, surely no one likes to fish for salmon.

You do realize you're the only one talking about clear cutting, right?

Trump was talking about tree clearing....and no, I voice my views without looking for posts that agree....I've worked in that field when I was young and I've seen logging companies at work in Oregon doing really good forest management....logging has never stopped forest fires from spreading...I had 11 acres in the high Sierras when I was young and fought 7 major forest fires around my property...which was not clogged with old growth...it was fueled by flying pine cones and roasting manzanita and madrone which burns at a high temperature and is not usefull lumber. You also are the only one who cited a lawyer in Salem without knowing what lobby fueled his case.....there are still many who would like to go back to the huge profits of clear cutting. I didn't blame Trump for the fires....I blamed him for being fucking clueless to the situation....logging trucks pass my driveway everyday...I happen to have an interest in forest management as I live in the forest

^^^no, Trump clearly said "clear"...big difference in clear cutting vs "thinning/managing".

I'm addressing responsible logging which I've seen improvement in through out the NW in my lifetime...I've also seen fire break all the rules of things like fire breaks and environment....Southern Oregon and N California are drier than they've ever been in my lifetime. Nature takes it's course

...also, simply thinning forest won't stop fires anyway, especially with the very high temps and dry conditions and high winds...even after thinning there will still be plenty of trees left to fuel the fires.

There's nothing more ugly than a clear cut although it does seem to be favored by deer.
