They scared us with talk like that in Vietnam. Me? I was too young and too green to attempt anything with a loose woman. My God, when I was first stationed in New Jersey I went up to Manhattan just to see what it was like. I had more than a few and decided to go for a walk in the dead of night. Out of a recessed entry to a building where it was pitch black walks a street walker who said "Hey, soldier, got a light?" as she leans toward me with a cigarette in her mouth. I said "No mam, I don't smoke" and walked away. She must have been baffled and thought I was Gomer Pyle. That exchange was word for word true and I'll never forget it. I wasn't yet the man of the world. Still wasn't when I went into combat.

How do I make Tomato beef chow yuk? This is my favorite Chinese food, perhaps my favorite any kind of food. I know it's got beef, tomato, bok choy, sweet and sour sauce, Chinese pea pods, bamboo shoots, sliced water chestnuts and what else?
Also, how do you make to sweet and sour sauce and prepare the beef?

And while we're on it, how do you make that fabulous barbecued beef which I like to wash down with an ice cold Tsing Tao? If I can't have a Tsing Tao then I want a Kirin, again ice cold.

This is an amazing coincidence - I was that streetwalker. And I've never forgotten you, Gomer, through all these years, and all those men.

So many nights I'd sit by my window
Waiting for someone to sing me his song
So many dreams I kept deep inside me
Alone in the dark but now you've come along
And you light up my life
You give me hope to carry on
You light up my days and fill my nights with song
Rollin' at sea, adrift on the water
Could it be finally I'm turnin' for home?
Finally a chance to say "Hey, I love you"
Never again to be all alone
And you light up my life
You give me hope to carry on
You light up my days and fill my nights with song
'Cause you, you light up my life
You give me hope to carry on
You light up my days and fill my nights with song
    It can't be wrong
    When it feels so right
'Cause you…..you light up my life

If they could deduct that an incoming signal was created for other intellegent life, they would definitely keep it secret.

In 1963 I made my own crystal radio in Cub Scouts.

Since then, every few years NASA wastes incredible effort (tax dollars) trying to discern where my continually-reflected signals are coming from.

Hey, I built a crystal radio in the 50s. If I remember right it was just before I entered the cub scouts. It must have been in the mid 50s.

Later, I bought one that was shaped like a rocket ship. I could use an alligator clip to clip it on to any large piece of metal containing iron or nickel such as a bed frame and pick up radio stations from all over. I use to look forward to going to bed 'cause I could listen to my radio under the covers where I also used a flashlight to read my Superman comic books.

I can't remember too much about the Boy Scouts other than our weekly meetings, camping trips, building fires, jamborees and that you passed a knife while holding the blade. Never got passed Tenderfoot. Moved to Portland and never got back into scouting.

I wanted to make my own from scratch.

The only Asian markets my wife will go to are Korean and Japanese. She can be picky at times.

you tube my friend....you can learn any cooking technique you like....your wife can look it up in Korean....my wife has learned to make traditional Taiwanese dishes on Chinese channels on youtube with excellent results...harder to find the originals in English....we have Bok Choy...Green Peas and tomatoes in the garden...we go to the Asian market for water chestnuts or bamboo shoots..etc….grow our own Taiwanese chives as well. the trick to your dish is the meat sautee'
