naw...you're just not listening...if you're involved in shoe engineering it's good to listen...I got a pair of Nike's brand new for Xmas last year...they didn''t last one full year....soles wore out...sides busted out....in my view my 50 dollar New Balance replacements are a much better made shoe...for half the price...if you are a Nike fan, I would assume you've had good experiences with them...I haven't since my original Air Jordans….probably had half a dozen pair since then..my 2017 Nike's sucked.....maybe to you that's old stuff...to me it's a substandard product for a big pricetag

I'm listening. You're the one not being consistent. I already said the soles are the first thing to wear out on most modern shoes. The sides splitting is generally a sign of a bad fit (too much outward pressure) or a very papery material like used on a lot of lightweight Saucony and Hoka models. You're dodging the point that started the conversation: the lacing tabs are not likely to fail.

It is always sad to lose a loved one whether human or animal.

With that said, Jason on The fan yesterday afternoon brought up a great point. It should only be a celebration if you live longer than 80. You won at the game of life and anything beyond is icing on the cake. We shouldn't mourn, we should celebrate all the years they had on this earth.

With that said, I had a stepsister die in a car crash in my teens and I have put a couple of pets to sleep due to old age. They stung just as bad as the stepsister even though they lived out their years. Easier said than done I know, but I believe it to be true.

My girlfriend's pug Ming died last Wednesday. He will be missed. I have never seen an animal with such a big personality. He loved people, tolerated other dogs and thought squirrels were losers and not worth his time or attention.

The young man's defense is going to be elite. We just need him to develop into a reliable 4th option on the other end.

We don't need him to average 20 ppg, just an efficient 14 ppg, or so, on 3FG% => .380.

That's the kind of 2-way performance we need from both forward spots (do you hear me Moe Harless, I'm talking to you).

Ok, that's some funny shit, but why is IT still wearing Laker purple? I can't imagine he's jonsesing for reunion with LeBron. That didn't exactly end well for him last time.

Collins is never going to average 14 points a game. You heard it here first. Never ever ever.

Disclaimer: that's just a guess based on the laws of basketball reality.

well you certainly seem to trust them...as I've stated...Nike's are overpriced and substandard in quality to my view...and I buy shoes that fit ...really value proper fit. I have an unusual shoe size and very narrow heel so it takes some looking to find that fit. I'm done with Nike shoes for the reasons I've stated and my preference is for no lacing tabs at all. Reeboks did the same thing with their shoes as well....very light, didn't last. I played a lot of tennis on hard courts and put shoes through the tests ….sure it was in the past but adidas made the better shoe ...more durable in my view. choices....as to modern sports...sure seem to see more and more shoes blow out during games than I remember in the past as well....I'll just have to agree to disagree.

I'm not sure what basketball reality you're living in.

One of the simple equations in The Theory Of Basketball Relativity clearly shows that:

Solid Screens + Gravity = Open Shots.

If Zach sets solid screens, the gravity our shooters have will negatively affect the defense, equaling open shots for Zach.

    Conversely:

Aggressive Box Outs + Fearlessness + Determination = Offensive Rebounds.

    And everyone knows:

    Offensive rebounds = More possessions

And the side effect of More possessions is More fouls and More free throws.

All of which = More shots for Zach.

I think he could get 10+ per game.

    Your silly opinion isn't reality.

If Robin Lopez can average 14pts per 36 for a career, I think Zach could average 14ppg for a season.

Dude has offensive potential. He's still 20 years old. Ruling him out from being able to score 14ppg is ridiculous.

    One word for Zach:

    Strength.

The stronger he gets, the stronger he'll play.

Also I hope Stotts and NO are on the same page about playing him inside more. His best offensive moves all came in the post. I know everyone is in love with 3’s and he may hit those occasionally, I think his true offensive potential comes from those quick feet he’s got around the basket, he has good footwork.

I’m also a big fan of trying to get guys easy looks around the basket to get them in a rhythm before having them shoot jumpers.

I guess we'll see. Andrea Bargnani averaged 14.3 ppg over a 10-year NBA career. So, anything is possible.

Lol. I was just fucking around. That being said, Zach looks pretty lost on offense. For all this lauding of his footwork (on offense), he just looks plodding and ground bound. I'm hoping for the best. He sure isn't shy about shooting...but any 14 a game stuff is few years off.

Hell, Nurk averaged 14 per last season; it ain't easy.

Speaking of silly. 14ppg per 36?!? Answer me this: is per 36 reality? No, wait, I'll answer: it isn't; it's theoretical.

Do you not think Zach Collins can be a slightly better offensive player than Robin freakin' Lopez?
