No doubt. In fact, I heard one former Republican, who left the party strictly because of Trump and his band of lap dogs, say that if he were to testify he might spill the beans about crimes that Mueller doesn't even know about.

Well you know that and a broken electoral system, an an unprecedented letter by Comey to congress... and well you can go on but the smear campaign done against Hillary was done pretty impressively.

Its pretty easy to just think that if half the stuff that happened in the election was for the democrats then Fox and the republicans would still be calling it "the biggest scandle laden election in US history" and damn sure would not be calling Hillary the president instead it would be something cheesy like "fake" president Clinton. Not that Clinton was scandle free or anything, 90% of what fox and was shared online was complete BS but that shit with the DNC was just plain flat horrible.

I voted for Gary Johnson but yes realistically the two party system is stupid and keeps us without having great options

The two party system, in my opinion, shows why America isn't truly a democracy. If the Republicans and Democrats can place hoops for the other parties to have to jump through just so that they can run for President of the United States with them, that clearly isn't a free and fair democratic election.

Corruption keeps the Republicans and Democrats in power. Corruption is why we ended up with Hilary and Trump as our only choices this last time around.

Both the Republicans and Democrats are corrupt. If you are voting for a Republican or a Democrat, you are voting for corruption. If you are defending a Republican or a Democrat, you are defending corruption. Simple as that people.

...agreed 100%...2 party system is simply too counter productive and dysfunctional...as for me, I opted for Donald Duck as a write-in alternative.

Not sure I agree that the two-party system is primarily what's holding us back - I don't see where any third party candidates in my lifetime have been all that superior. If anything they tend to be more one-dimensional. There are certainly problems with the current parties, and the current system, but just making everyone an 'independent' isn't going to be a panacea. One can argue that it was a breakdown of party discipline that led to the disaster that is our current president, and that future Trumps would be more likely to flourish in a less structured system.

I like your take on the two party system. George Washington said in one of his last speeches while leaving office that he feared the division of two parties that would be more concerned about party rather than the nation.

It is nothing new that we are where we are. The true power are the people ensconced in the machine that is washington.

Doing fine up to this point.. Nothing wrong with the last election. The best man out of 17 got the nod and won the general election. The republicans in Congress are a problem, about half are fake republicans and only there to fatten their wallet and flattery. The hard stuff is too hard for them.
The Dems seem to be in flat out trouble. Gone are the American Democrats. When they can't find a messiah and default to Hillary Clinton! They are in trouble.
Then we have Cuomo coming up, America was never great? Man that will sell only to the negative Nancy's.

I've stopped supporting candidates from the divorce court parties....washed my hands of them completely...I'd rather go with the fuck you all vote...Johnson got that vote this time from me. Our elections are a joke...and way too long. I lobby for a 6 week campaign..our presidency and legislators are not working, they're just on an endless campaign trail ..equal airtime for every candidate ...equal money for every candidate...let the cards fall where they will. And at least vet candidates of any dirt in the past and make candidates actually qualify for the job for a change..it's become reality TV and a popularity contest..We've been reduced to voting against a candidate instead of for one

The two worst elections in my life time were the worst because I was left with no choice acceptable.

    ? vs Nixon
    Obama vs McCain

Can't even remember who I voted for in those elections but it was not one of those four.

On that we won't ever agree. I'd say he's demonstrably the worst man of the 17 (and there were some pretty horrible people in that race). Nobody else in the race was (so far as I know) a criminal, a racist, AND a treasonous moron. Of course if that's what you always wanted in a president, then no problem.

On that we agree. They are useless.

    On that you are dreaming.

McGovern was one of the last candidates to give me hope...I liked Obama and voted for him but knew he'd have to battle Congress every step of the way to get anything approved.
