<span style="font-size:10pt;line-height:100%">Najera Plans To Return, Not Test Free Agency</span><div class='quotetop'>QUOTE </div><div class='quotemain'>Forward Eduardo Najera said Tuesday he won't opt out of his contract and become a free agent, meaning seven of the eight players the Nuggets have used in the playoffs will be under contract for next season.Najera, who told the Rocky Mountain News in January he likely wouldn't opt out, said he recently met with his agent, Dan Fegan, and has been talking with his family. A final decision was reached that he won't forego the $4.95 million he's due next season in the final year of a six-year, $24 million deal."I like my chances here," said Najera, 30. "And I hope that I can stay here. . . . I talked to (Fegan and) my family and I think the best thing to do is stay here and see how it plays (out)."The bottom line is that it makes sense financially to play my last year (of the contract). I just don't want to have an injury or whatever. I am getting older."</div>-RealGM
Yes, we need to keep the team togeather for one more year, if A.I and melo get a clean start, I see us being #1 team is Western Conference.
<span style="font-family:Arial">I'm pretty excited about this, I was bummed when I heard his name was involved in trade rumors. I love his hustle, and his ability to get offensive rebounds. I actually remember George Karl saying that Najera won 3-4 games for us, on his own.</span><div class='quotetop'>QUOTE (Eaglefan @ May 2 2007, 09:32 PM) <{POST_SNAPBACK}></div><div class='quotemain'>Yes, we need to keep the team together for one more year, if A.I and melo get a clean start, I see us being #1 team is Western Conference.</div><span style="font-family:Arial">We won't be #1, but we will be incredibly improved. The Spurs just had a deeper bench, and better 3 point shooting. Also the reffs helped them A LOT in 2 games for sure turned the game around. And AI had the worse series of his life he stugled a lot that won't be the same again odds are. Spurs last chance to win it all I don't see them being a problem at all they already except this game 5 was out hustled, and out jumped cause of the age I guess.Dallas, and the Suns how ever are still gonna be hard to beat but possible we are a GREAT team I expect us to be on the Dallas/Suns level next season be hard to beat them, but possible.Najera is a hustle kinda a guy so I guess it is good he won't opt out.
