Im not a big fan of Lebrons politics, but I absolutely respect the work he’s done.

Esports can make a kid a living. Isn’t that the point of going to school? You get out with the skills required to make a living. Who cares if we have more unemployed historians... I’m not saying there is anything wrong with history (My first major was history and I loved it).

Call it the school of Best Buy or whatever Lebron and the school are trying to prepare young people to be adults and while people may not like what they’re majoring in or what the school is doing. As long as when they’re done they have a chance at a good life isn’t that what’s important?

On the basketball court sure, but he’s a man off of it and while I don’t see eye to eye with him in a lot of ways he’s done a good job from what I can tell at being a good person, and father.

Yeah, with a degree in World of Warcraft after graduating, i suppose the Starbucks barista with a humanities degree needs an intern.

where's your link that shows what the program entails? You speak so down on something it appears you know nothing about. Do you think that's the only class students will take? Do you know how many degrees and programs Akron offers?

My only video game has been solitaire. The others seem juvenile to me.

It’s a generational thing and I’m absolutely not trying to call you old or anything derogatory so please don’t take it that way. Most younger people play games, some kids play games a lot. Is it good or bad for them? That’s a good question it has benefits for sure but it also comes with its issues.
My ‘defense ‘ of the issue that going to college should be to help get a person the skills needed for a career and while I understand many people don’t ‘like’ it, esports has become a career for many people and it has created millionaires too, it’s much like the ‘real’ sports industry where many people try to make it and very few do, but no one seems to complain about football, basketball, soccer etc teams, or guys that get a scholarship to play those sports but don’t get an education.

Most of this isn’t really a response to you Lanny so I apologize if it sounds like I’m attacking you.

I know Akron like the back of my hand because I lived there for 3 years.

    I had a cute hand when I was 6.
