i understand that at this time human rights abuses have taken a back burner within the current administration.
i will also concede that currently muslims aren't viewed with great sympathy as whole both nationally and globally.
if the numbers and implications within this article are to be believed, china may be bringing back its own version of "The Final Solution".

China has had these problems for a long time....like Russia...you don't tow the line you disappear ..remember the Falon Gong movement ..basically religious tai chi practitioners were imprisoned and in some cases the young arresting soldiers were arresting their own grandparents...it's old Maoist red guard shit

definitely more of the same since mao's re-education. the scale of it in this day and age of social media and satellite imagery is kind of shocking, more so i think the lack of attention-awareness, and what is being acknowledged. china being pretty brazen all the while trying to integrate itself in the global community/economy makes it also shocking. no nation able to take the moral high ground seems to have embolden the communist party.

    LOL.

Simply China's equivalent to Obama's FEMA/WALMART internment camps, now run by Jeff Sessions, which both used to intern illegal aliens, their children, and who else that we don't know about yet?

Far more dangerous silencers, brainwashers and jailers are Google, Apple, Facebook, Twitter...

Chinese politician would say "You think about this, you worry. Why worry over something you cannot control. What is your name? We shall now be concerned about you.

We should watch "The Red Violin" and see the Mao days all over again.

i understand that our foreign policy , progressive and predominantly christian society has given rise to the west being painted the great satan to islam, but don't/won't these Chinese policies paint an even larger bullseye on them as targets of radical islam? or is it still christians vs. muslims and the historical memories of the crusades guiding the terrorism of today? certainly potential genocide trumps past grievances?

Thank you for posting this @lawai'a I had not heard about this. And I want to believe that real Americans want to move forward as a free people and know that this means all races/religions should be respected and allowed to thrive peacefully despite what our leaders do and say.

Before casting stones, clean up your own home, hypocrites. The U.S. legal system has the highest prison population in the world, both in number, and in proportion to the general population.

It started in the 1980s when Republicans mandated sentences, and took away judges' options to decide sentences. Remember how you used to hear the phrase "first-time offender?" Most don't return after the humiliation, so used to be given small sentences. Not since the 80s. So the prison population has exploded.

A bit different from being imprisoned for doing Tai Chi in the park or practicing any religion.....and prison populations tend to be less prominent in countries where they just kill the criminals without trial...but furthermore....my home is pretty clean dude!
