I faked being sick constantly. And I was sick a fair bit too. I think my mom knew when I was faking, but she let me get away with it.

Hated school, just hated it, starting with kindergarten all the way through graduate school.

To the topic, I broke my arm once the day before school started.

My dude cried this morning when I told him to wear jeans instead of shorts. I kept him home and made him stand outside all day in his shorts.

Jk... except for the first part.

    Glad he’s okay, Chris!

My first day of kindergarten I was so excited to finally get to go. My mother walked me to school with one of my (still to this day) best friends. As soon as my mother left, I kicked the teacher in the shins and hid out in the cloak room the rest of the day. After that I was fine. But it was still one of my favorite school memories. And the only time in my educational experience where I actually felt like I was in control of the situation. The other 14 years of formal education sucked in general (except for the social part).

Glad your son is okay OP. I'm on the opposite side now. My first day of teaching at a college is today (just a freshmen intro class while I'm coaching until I get my masters next year) and I am currently at the ER with one of my players less than an hour and a half before I'm theoretically supposed to be teaching.
