So I've been working for this guy at my school, Kingpin. so hes paying me to do designs for him.. and I'm disappointed in myself.. He said the first piece I made was good, not great... and I'm not happy with that.. So I started a new one... and iono.. how is it?btw. heres that first piece.
I like the bottom one a lot. It looks really tight.For the first one, it looks alright, but I'd try to blend the main render in a little bit more.
Wow. I am confused now. Everyone I showed likes that bottom one, but he only says it "good", but great... blahhh. im kinda frustrated now.
Im not really sure what to tell you man because I dont know waht he really wants. Make sure in your new deisgn you cant see the vector lines on the render of him. besides text, I dont know why he woudlnt like your first one.
2nd one is sick, idk why he wouldnt be satisfied with that.. I guess just see what HE wants, and try to make that..
I'm liking the bottom one much better. Only thing I would say to work on is making the render look cooler and doing something about the motion blur or w/e on the KINGPIN text on the bottom. And maybe put the album name under that text.

Yo its whatever the client wants(.) You will always make stuff that is better than the one that the client wants(.) They USUALLY think more business.. with a LACK of design sense(.) Just do what he wants and satisfy him(.) Don't get all frustrated over it unless you getting paid some serious $$$(.) But then again you want it to look hot, not crappy(.) In the end its what he wants(.)He looks like he is goin platinum!

Bottom one is awesome, gives a real hip-hop feel too. The first one isnt so much....the cut of him isnt very good, the main pic should be bigger and never in the middle(I took advertisement class, so take my advice). I dont like the text either...
The 2nd one is a lot better, but if you want to make it better then I'd fix the text on that and personally I dont like the city thats in front of him. Also, if you want it to be erfect I'd blend the pic in more.
