Based on past west coast performances, Yankees will have to play at their optimum to win games. These games
will be crucial if they wish to be the #1 wild card. Pitching will be the key. How they turn their game around is
    another story.

Read the River Avenue Blues report on yesterdays game. EAB is brutally honest, they cut no one any slack. Their final comment is that the Yankees to a man should be pissed at the way they were beaten by two teams like Detroit and Chicago. Seem like a coincidence but Ellsbury came to visit when the team was in Tampa in late June. The Yankees were swept in that series and went into the current funk just a short time later in July. We've all read and head comments from Boner and the players stating that "we have to play better baseball" they have not accomplished that task. Don't know how it will go out there I'm no seer but a poor performance could end result with the Wild Card Game in Oakland and there is no Jeter to bail these sorry mothers out.

IMG_2825.jpg A real honest to God playoff contender awaits us. All we have to do is protect the winning percentage. Losing to DET and CWS was deplorable

I rate Billy Beane in the top 3 GMs. He knows pitching and knows how to develop them. Maybe Cashman should take
lessons on developing pitchers from Mr. Beane because he seems lost in this area.

A’s error gets Cutch to 3B....Yankees on the board with Hicks’ sac fly.
Let’s see if CC can throw a scoreless first.

I must be a hopeless dreamer! He gives up 3 first inning runs.

SOB. Three straight hits and this game is tied, 1-1 and A’s looking for more. Ugh!
Bases loaded and still one out. CC will wear out by 3rd inning, 29 pitches, if he gets that far!
Yankees down 2-1 as he walks in second run against a left handed hitter.

I’m just shaking my head. Four of last five games starters have given up first inning runs. Andujar error scores 3rd run.
A horror show is unfolding..as CC approaches 40 pitches this inning.

...I'll say it again...the Yanx really need to get someone to work with both Andujar and Torres on their defense...it's abysmal.

Since we all know Trashman won’t fire BaBoone, we need to get a new pitching coach here ASAP. This is unreal. Starter after starter can’t go deep. Guys have flawed mechanics but our pitching coach can’t seem to ever get anyone right. It’s a disgrace.
