Miami and Dallas are out of it. Who do you think can pull it out?

If Phoenix doesn't advance to the NBA Finals this year I don't think they ever will. The only real obstacle they have now is San Antonio. Houston might be able to surprise people get there but it's unlikely that it will happen imo_On the East Coast I say Detroit. They have been playing really well this year and I think they should have no problems getting to the Finals but I'm also not going to take my eye off the Cavs.

I think San Antonio for the west, but im not to sure for the east. The nets have to get past the cavs which im not so sure they will do, and I think that detroit is a lock for the confrence finals, but If the nets move past the Cavs, and the big three gets hot, watch out, kidd might finally get his ring.

I think San Antonio will win it all. With all their veteran experience and the production from pretty much everyone, I think they can do it. Micheal Finley is hungry as ever, they have Tim Duncan playing well, Ginboli and Parker running the breaks and dishing it off inside to the likes of TD and Elson. I like San Antonio's chances.

Which ever team survives the Phoenix/San Antonio match-up will win the championship, in my opinion. Right now, I'm hoping that Phoenix and Golden State make it to the WCF, and the Suns win the whole thing... if Phoenix doesn't get it done this year (barring any huge injuries to Nash/Marion/Amare), then there are no excuses. They probably won't have a better shot than this year simply because the Mavs are now out.

Im not arguing you San Antonio onpinion but everybody seems to be hopping onto Finley with one game, that doesn't win championship. If your gonna hop on Fin better hop on Horry to

If guys like Horry and Finley etc can play well, it would be huge for SA. Granted, I only watched two of their games in the playoffs this year, so I am basically just saying what I think. In a 7 game series with Phoenix, I think San Antonio wins. San Antonio does a good job at dictating the tempo when they need to.

I like the Pistons chances of taking the East. The Nets are going to wear down the Cavs and possibly beat them if the big three do get going. I think the Pistons wont have a lot of trouble against the Bulls though-I seem to be the only one who believes that. But if the Bulls do get past Detroit, then they'll be in the Finals no doubt. But, they wont.in the west, the best second round series over there is going to be San Antonio and PHX. I want Phoenix to get to the Finals this year because I dont like Detroits chances against them. but the Phoenix-Spurs series is set to be a big one. I think it could go seven. with Phoenix coming out on top-for the pistons sake...with Phoenix beating Houston or Golden State and the Pistons beating the Cavs in the conference finals, I think detroit is able to take the Suns out of their game and win the Title in 5. but..if San Antonio gets past Phoenix, Theyll probably beat the Pistons in 6 or 7.Dont let it be a surprise.

I picked them to beat Phoenix in the 2nd round from the start, I hope it happens. People say they are boring, but I love watching that team play. They are just so fundamentally sound, they are always under control, they play great team defense, they are well coached, and of course - I love Tim Duncan. But I think San Antonio is going to take them out. They entered the postseason with the momentum on their side and they did a good job with not letting a dangerous/up-tempo team like Denver give them many problems. If they control the tempo of the game against Phoenix, they'll take them. Let's go Spurs! On a side note, could you guys imagine a Western Conference Finals matchup of Golden State/Phoenix?!!? :shok: It'd be like a tennis match, your head moving back and forth every 3 seconds.

SA or detroit - Even if Phoenix manages to get out of the west they wont beat Det. Two reasons - simply put detroits d is too good and PHX' D is too poor. the second reason is because of S2S - thats right PHX wont win because Karma will hold S2S' behavior against him and them.[IMG]

I've said all along that San Antonio is the best team in the league and I'm sticking to that.

Before the start of the season, I said Spurs vs. Cleveland for the NBA Finals. Yeah, not really likely to happen but I still believe it. I can see the Spurs winning it all this season though, if they get past the Suns I got my money on them.

I agree with some other people in this thread. The winner of the Suns-Spurs series will win the championship. I will be rooting for Nash and the Suns and I really think this is their year. Now they wont have to get through both powerhouses in the Mavs and Spurs. I hope they could pull it out. I definably want a Suns-Warriors WCF, even though I don't think it would be close. Yes they both play the same style, but one thing the Suns have that Golden State doesn't is Amare. He will kill the Warriors the whole series. But I'm getting ahead of myself. I predicted Suns-Bulls in the NBA pick and roll with the suns winning it, and I'm going to stick to it.

It will be San Antonio and Detroit in the finals (rematch of '05 Finals), in my opinion. Both are experienced, tough, defensive-minded ball clubs. They've been there before, and they just have that 'playoff mentality'. Phoenix needs to learn how to play team defense before they can do anything astounding in the playoffs.

I had San Antonio over Detroit in my original playoff picks anyways, so this doesn't effect me that much really.

My darkhorses are Houston and Chicago...But I really think it will be Phoenix or San Antonio...that's gonna be a big series...If Phoenix can hit shots, anc force their tempo, then I think they can win....But if the Spurs are able to slow it down to a pace that they are comfortable with, and if Tim Duncan is megawesome in the post, then the Spurs have a really good shot too....I would have preferred Dallas vs. Phoenix, but this is a good series too. Also, Houston over Golden State in 5...you heard it from here first.
