Well the boys are down by 21 entering the 4th, they need to make a run right here and get some stops to avoid a game 5. As I post this they make a 7-0 run to start the 4th, they need to stay consistent and let's see another comeback. HoLLa baCk
It was just one of those ugly games where Chauncey missed 4 free throws and fouled out. I thought they had a chance, getting down by only 7 with over 5 minutes left but s!*t happens. I think the Pistons took the Bulls lightly and got too comfortable to close out the series. I mean we still in the drivers seat with a 3-1 lead BUT Detroit should not play the same way on Tuesday as they try to close out the series again. Can't really be too heated about the game, because you can't win every playoff game. HoLLa baCk

what did I say, the Bulls wouldnt go out like that and get swept. this is just another example of the Pistons not closing out on a team. dont worry, I also said the series would be over in 5 so I think theres a good chance that theyll close it out at home tomorrow night.Called it!
I don't like how this half started, I mean the Pistons can't play better D against Hinrich, Gordon and Deng they simply were hitting their shots. I mean the Pistons made a late run and got the lead down to 8 59-51 but to me it just seems like the Pistons always go through this, especially during close out games. Like I said before there are always 2 halves and the Bulls could have a collapse but the Boys have to either tie or take the lead heading into the 4th. The Pistons are so notorious for these kind of halves but I really hope it doesn't go to game 6.At least the Tigers are up 6-1 in their game against the Sox. HoLLa baCk
The lead has balooned to 21 going into the 4th, this is getting ridiculous with 1 quarter left. If the Pistons don't pull out a miracle in the 4th, it's baCk to Chi-town for a game 6 w/ the Bulls having the momentum HoLLa baCk
You guys remember this article?"Andres Nocioni is all about the predictions. After correctly prognosticating the Miami Heat's demise at the hand of the Bulls, Nocioni is expecting the Pistons to fall in similar fashion.May 2, Lake County News-Sun: Only days after Nocioni correctly predicted he and the Bulls would beat the Miami Heat in the first round of the playoffs, the forward was more specific about the outcome vs. the Detroit Pistons in the Eastern Conference semifinals. "We are going to win. We are going to win, of course," Nocioni said flatly Tuesday at the Berto Center. "I believe we can win. We are going to play seven games, and we are going to win (Game 7) in Detroit. It will be nice. Nice."..."I expected a loss in Miami," Nocioni turned serious. "They were the last champions. I didn't want to tell everybody that we would sweep the champions. That would not be right.""The same thing (applies) with Detroit. Detroit has lot of experience and great players, so I won't say anything wrong (about them)."http://blog.mlive.com/fullcourtpress/2007/...ing_to_win.htmlThe Bulls are now 1 win away from a game 7 and if the Pistons continue to play the way they have been playing the last 2 games then it's a wrap, Nocioni's prediction will come true. I am not there yet but I am getting a bit fed up w/ the boys being too relaxed to close out this series. Their best bet is to finnaly close it out Thursday. HoLLa baCk
I went last night and let me tell you, the Pistons did not play good Defense of shoot well at all...they need to start to control the tempo and guard their men...and Luol Deng getting those Rip Hamilton off-the-screen shots shouldnt fly...I'm getting fed up and a little worried(lack of a better term) about them in this round and definitely going into the ECF...Nocioni is a punk, and if the Bulls win this series, I will weep continuously...
Im worried but not extremely worried. Detroit still has the series in hand. 4 games is a hell of alot of games to win consecutively in the playoffs.
I kind of had a weird feeling about last night's game..like we were going to lose. I feel pretty much 100% confident though for game 6 we are gonna take care of business. Truth be told, they are more likely to get up for a road game in a big situation for some reason. The Chicago crowd is gonna be loud and it's only going to make Detroit try harder.

Wow, I was so pissed last night. I?m still kinda pissed, so beware.First off you have to give credit to the Bulls. They shot the lights out, and did everything right.OK, now that that's over with, here goes. Yesterday we played like sh*t, no other way to put it. We didn't look like the 2004 Pistons, like some were beginning to say. We looked exactly like we did last year. No heart, no hustle, etc. We came in thinking game four was a fluke, but it wasn't. We started out playing poorly, and the Bulls came out with tons of energy and took an early lead. That's never a good thing. We just walked through the game thinking we'll come back later, which was EXACTLY what we did last year. Our defense was crap, they shot f*cking 57% and 62 from three. The coaching by Flip Saunders was atrocious, just to prove it I'll list some of the things he did:-Not having this team ready(I know this isn't all his fault, but our players were just not "pumped up" for this game")-I'm not sure if he made one single adjustment throughout the whole game.-JMax played very well, but does Flip play him more? Of course not.-To start the 2nd half, we were getting the ball to Tay, and he was making shots, I think like four straight. Do we go back to him? Nope.-We're down around 12-15, something like that, Chauncey gets his 4th foul after a flop by Hinrich. Flip takes him out, and the Bulls pull away. What the F*ck would his mindset be? "Better save Chauncey for the fourth quarter when we're already down 20." Ugh.-When we needed a run to cut the lead, we seemed to have nothing set up at all on offense. Wasn't Flip supposed to be an "offensive genius" when we fired him? That's not even near all of it.This performance really shocked me. We haven't played Piston basketball in three straight games, yes we did win game three, but that was after we came out with no energy at all, the Bulls build a big lead, but we managed to come back in the fourth. Now we're going into game 6, in which Chicago can win easily with all this momentum. I never would have thought that the Bulls can beat us in a game 7 at home, but after they beat us 3 straight times(possibly) anything can happen, so don't tell me they can't.Now, some people are saying, "Jump shooting teams always explode one game" I wouldn't have a problem if they exploded and made every damn shot, but the problem was us. It was allowing them to have those open shots that made them shoot 57%, and not adjusting on D, not getting good offensive possesions, etc.Just clearing this up, I have as much faith in this team as anyone, and we can easily win game 6 at Chicago, but we need to be focused. I was just really pissed with how we played yesterday. Luckily New Jersey beat Cleveland to force game 6 so they whoever wins that, most likely the Cavs, will not have more rest. Anyway, we can?t afford to let this series go 7.
The Bulls should have the edge for tonights game, but they probably will get shut down tonight because I think the Pistons have snapped out of their funk....or I hope...
I would have been hapy with just not being swept, and thats how I thought it was going, but this is of course a nice surprise.I'd love to go seven, that way after all the back and forth winning going on here, it all comes down to one to decide it all, seems kinda proper after BOTH teams have played like crap and like gods at different points in the series.
that is a great way to put it...there just needs to be a game where both teams play pretty even because if the Pistons are within 12 or 11 going into the fourth, they have a better chance of coming back and winning than the Bulls do of getting a blowout because the fourth quarter is the Pistons quarter
Oh man I am so relieved the Pistons were able to finnaly finish off the Bulls. I give the Bulls a lot of credit tho for making it a series, instead of getting swept. Tonight's game clearly showed the Pistons experience compared to the Bulls. The bulls aren't too far away from being the Beast of the East, but the Pistons are so hungry to get baCk to the finals and winning it. I am glad it didn't go to 7 for 2 reasons1. Anything can happen in game 72. If the Cavs win game 6 they will get the few days rest the Pistons could of had.Now us Piston fans have to wait and see who will be our opponents in the conference finals. The Red Wings are losing 4-3 against the Ducks and the Tigers lost their day/night doubleheader and lose the central lead :no3: Let's just hope the Wings pull it off so we can go 2-3 tonight.
