I’m still of the opinion darnold won’t be that good overall. Guess we’ll see.

It's one of those situations where no matter how good Barkley is if Darnold ends up being a franchise QB it will probably be a bad decision.

He doesn't have the best arm in the world but I love his makeup. To be that calm and under control at that 21 is amazing. I see him more as a game manager than a slinger and I am fine with that. I'll take that over the crap we've had recently, any day of the week.

...no, those links say specifically that the only player's eligible for the IR spot are those with the (IR) or (O) designation from the official NFL disabled list. So they must have updated Jeffery's status today otherwise he wouldn't have been able to put him on the IR. Moving forward, now that the player is not ruled out the next move Bones makes he will be required to drop the extra player he gained. Makes sense now?

I get what you and the links say, however that is what makes it extremely weird to have an IR spot that can be used for these purposes. Injury designations aren't technically due until Friday for Sunday games (though technically they have to have practice reports on Wednesday, Thursday, and Friday). So if a player is out game 1 but could possibly play game 2, they might not have their status updated until well after waivers and all that go through or in this case secondary waivers of the guys who were dropped on waivers. At the same time Jeffery is still expected to miss a game or two more so he is most likely out again this week so if Bones had to make another move he'd have to drop someone to make Jeffery active, make the move, and then put Jeffery back on IR if he doesn't play this week. Then on top of that a guy like Bell can be stashed on IR just because he is refusing to show up?

Jeffrey was ruled out when I put him there. I believe he can sit there as long as I want but to use him I'd have to take him off of IR.

Bells situation is unique. He isn't even under contract right now, so technically out of the league? I don't know how you would/should classify him.

...use the settings to your advantage the best you can, each league has different setups :dunno: personally I prefer having an IR spot because most of the injuries are not season ending and it allows me to carry a complete roster until that player is healthy again -- there is no unfair advantage going on because it forces you to drop a player the moment you choose to or are forced to move the player out of the IR :dunno:

I know I shouldn’t ask my competition what I should do and expect great answers lol.

I’ve got Fournette as a starter, on Monday he said he was good, he didn’t practice all week, now they’ve listed him as a game time decision.... So I guess here’s my question. Since he’s in an early game, if I put him in a flex, and they hold him out does he get locked when his game starts?

I went and found on ESPN’s site that players lock when their team starts playing so. Sheesh I better be on that Sunday...

I had Fournette last year. I liked him because he is solid when he plays, but he is constantly in Questionable status. I got hosed one game last year. He was completely fine and then all of a sudden before the game he was listed as out. He isn't very durable it seems, he was injured quite a bit at LSU also. I'll trade you Devonta Freeman for him? :)

Browns are releasing Josh Gordon. He's most likely facing another suspension.

I doubt it. No report of such. You'd hear news about a failed test. And that early out of a rehabilitation facility after months of being clean would be surprising.

It's weird though. Dallas will sign him. Not only do they like to give guys 2nd, 3rd, and 10th chances, but they also have a desperate need at WR.

Wishful thinking, there has to be a reason why they'd just release him.

Gordon could've asked for it, they could've not wanting to wait out his hamstring, who knows? I doubt they'd get wind of a failed test without it getting leaked.
