I think it was PJ that brought this movie up about a month or so ago, saying how it was good, so I rented it a few days ago and just watched it....believing it was, from the title and everything that it would be some dumb fighting movie....but whoooa was it completely different than what I thought. It was an awesome movie, and the switch 4/5's of the way through, through me off my bed going, 'say whaaaa?' Just thought this deserved it's own thread, a very interesting, original movie everyone should check out.

No f*cking way. [IMG] The books are always better than the movie and now I can't read the book, bummer.

BCB, I read the book after the movie. I was nervous because it didn't seem right to watch a movie then read the book, normally it's the other way around. But unfortunately I didn't know there was a book until after I saw the movie. But the book still kicked ass, even if I read it after I saw the movie. Chuck Planuick(sp) is great. I read it in like 98 or 99

Yes, Chuck Palahniuk is the one who wrote it. He has some other interesting books out there as well. I would definatly say that Fight Club is his gem though. He is one of my favourite writers because his ideas are so out there. A few of his other books are in the process of becoming movies as well. Choke and Survivor I've heard will be made into films, but I just dont know when and what not. Wether you read Fight Club or not, you should check out some of his other stuff. They arent 500 page books or anything like that. I cant remember how long, but nothing that takes forever. You should be able to finish them in a few days. Anyways, here are a few of his books that I've read. Diary, Lullaby, Survivor, and Choke. You'll most likely find Choke to be very intersting and good. Palahniuk has about 8 books out there including Stranger Than Fiction which is a book consisting of short stories, both true and made up. On the movie, it is my favourite of all time. I think that this is both Edward Norton and Brad Pitt's best work that they've done. It also has some great supporting actors including Jared Leto, Helena Boham-Carter, and Meat Loaf. Also, when you watch the 2nd time, you feel so different since you watch it with a different light so to speak. Glad you liked it BCB. :worthy: :worthy: :worthy: :worthy: Fight Club.
