This new "roughing the passer" rule is some weird shit.

I don't get it. How are you supposed to stop, mid tackle, without throwing any weight into a QB. Make it look like an accident? Somebody is going to blow out his ACL due to this shit.

Fournette for Ajayi? Hell no! Fournette is worth much more than Ajayi.

Before I vote, what is your possible reasoning for this trade? I would understand trading Fournette for a healthy RB, even at a slight downgrade but for another injured RB of lesser value seems weird. Fournette was expected to practice today too.

my reasoning is this I like my starting rb’s right now. They both get targets and carries. Fournette is oft hurt and in “questionable” mode. He’s very consistent when he plays. Ajayi will have more bad games then Fournette but he also has some incredible games. In my opinion he’s more boom / bust than fournette. However outside of OBJ I dont really have any guys that are going to “boom” very much. I won while Fournette was benched last week because of injuries.

I realize overall Fournette is the more consistent player (when healthy, both are questionable for this weekend). I just want some more players who I believe can have one of those crazy 30 point games here and there. I see fournette as a consistent 15-20 point guys.

Also I believe Fournette will be injured / questionable more often due to his style and how Jacksonville has been with him so far in his career.

    Okay, some follow up questions...

    1) Did you attempt to see if Fournette could land you anyone better than Ajayi? Did I miss something where he was on the block?

    2) Just curious why you took Fournette at 13? It was like this with him all of last year too.

Edit: I am only asking such specific questions because I normally don't like to interfere by vetoing trades that were agreed to by both sides, especially this early in the season where it's obviously not collusion. This trade seems heavily one sided though.

1.) I didnt, but no one offered either.
2.) I didnt play last year. I thought he was going to be one of my consistent starters this year, and so far he hasnt been. He’s barely played.

Also I think Ajayi is going to get the ball a lot in philly and I think having wentz back helps him more even if he doesnt play this week. He did play well with a team who’s best qb was ryan tannehill.

No, Ajayi is not going to get the ball a lot in Philly. Corey Clement takes some of Ajayi's carries and Clement is in during the passing downs (3rd and long). Ajayi only has 22 caries in 2 games. Fournette has 9 carries in 1 half of a game.
Last season, Fournette put up 100 more points than Ajayi. Fournette has more big game potential again this year.
Sorry, but this is a terribly one sided trade and should be vetoed.

Please respect the process. He proposed the trade to me via private message and we went from there.

    10. Don’t Veto! This isn’t technically trading advice, but probably the most important trading issue. The two most common reasons for a veto? 1) They make one team too good. 2) You don’t think the trade is even. Neither of these is an appropriate reason for a veto. It is not your job to evaluate players on behalf of another team. It’s definitely not your job to use the veto as a weapon against a good team. Vetoes are there to prevent cheating. Period.

Sorry buddy, you don't make the rules for me. If a trade is blatantly one sided, then I think a veto is necessary. That's my opinion, above is yours.

If they veto thats up to them. Unless they think Im cheating to make your team better I dont think they should though. Their opinions on who I should value more I dont think that should come into play. Ill be fine either way I gave my reasons for why I wanted to do it, they dont have to agree.

You should hope it gets vetoed. You'll get better offers for Fournette.

so do you think we should get to vote on who we all start every week too? Or that we should get to vote on who people drafted and at what position? I wish you guys wouldve vetoed me picking the rams with my 3rd pick...

I respect your opinion. I just think telling me who I should value and how much I should ask for seems odd. I havent received a single trade offer so apparently no one else wanted him all that badly...

Lol, maybe, maybe not its early but people dont seem to be in a hurry to make trades. The waiver wire has been active though.

I agree with everything else you said but this sentence isn't really a good way to look at things. I haven't gotten an offer for Kamara, it doesn't mean no one wants him very badly it just means that most people probably thought I would want too much. Knowing that you are willing to give away Fournette would have gotten you a ton of offers.

Vetoing trades because you think it is lopsided is ridiculous and a fantasy foul for sure - it's there to stop cheating. I'll definitely be upset if it doesn't go through.
