So I bought the 2015 Mercedes-Benz E350. Not Diesel. It's great and I can drive UberSelect with it if I want. Phew. That part is done. Thanks for your help. I did want the Avalon. It was my first choice but it was much more expensive. I couldn't get the monthly payment under $700. I have bad credit and that wasn't going to work.
Make sure you and your husband bring your passports. One of my favorite fall drives in the Pacific NorthWest is the drive up to Port Angeles and then taking the ferry to Victoria, Canada. Love Victoria. One of the most charming and romantic cities on the west coast. Make sure you have afternoon tea in the lobby of the Empress Hotel.
Haaa... I really don't know MM. I don't always agree with what you have to say, but I've always appreciated your brutal honesty, because that is my way and it is the easiest way to be understood. What has happened to this forum is no different than others we have perused in the past. The signal to noise ratio makes deciphering intent difficult and peeps tend to drift away. Seems the signal to noise ratio took a spike when the O-live forum went down, but that's ok. What has bothered me is this forum is supposed to be representative of our Blazers and the content is not what I remember as Blazer season ticket holder, from the inaugural season (though I was only 14 yrs. old) and through two seasons in the Rose Garden would want to read. We all have differing points of view and that should be expected, but the culture has changed to an antagonist "poke the bear" free for all. Bottom line for me, it used to be a game for fun. Now everyone who posts is an expert Owner, GM, Referee, Coach, Trainer, Mentor... what have you. I will always love the Blazers. I will not love them because of the Championship they brought to Rose City, but because I got to know a few of the players that became personal friends. The two I became very good friends with are now departed. My memories will not be about their basketball prowess, but their personality both in victory and defeat. So... I lurk. Been around the game for decades. I have coached at 3 levels and refereed the same. Am I a wizard that knows all?... no. I'm just a fan and I too am disappointed in the direction this forum has taken. For the unbelievers I'll give you a taste. The attached jpeg is one of the Championship Buckles you had to be CD depositor of $5 large to get. I have three. Mind you that's 1977 monies. I also have a trove of stuff from then through the 1990's. I may not speak often, but rest assured I am not a bandwagon or casual fan.
You can buy this baby brand new for $18,000. https://www.costco.com/Streetrod-Vintage-Convertible-2-4-Passenger-Electric-Golf-Cart.product.100455143.html
Awesome post about fandom but it has no business in this thread. This is an OT thread about buying a car.
What do you mean by signal to noise ratio? I'm trained in electronics and almost certainly have a completely different definition.
I've done that except I've never had tea at the Emprss. I have had the best French Onion soup at the Victoria Old Spaghetti Factory, though. I also had great Manhattan clam chowder at a restaurant near the ferry dock in Port Angeles. Don't forget the Butchart Gardens.
I've eaten at that Old Spaghetti Factory. That was honestly the longest meal of my life. I think we were there for 3 hours. Wine, bread, wine, salad, wine, wine, bread, wine, spaghetti, wine, wine, ice cream. Not even much of a wine drinker.
