The Cavaliers are making their second consecutive appearance in the Eastern Conference Semifinals. Cleveland won two of the three games against the Nets this season including winning both games played at The Q. The Cavaliers are 4-1 all-time at home against the Nets in the playoffs. I really don't have a good feeling for this game. We just got over a emotional series with the Raptors friday night. I think we will come out flat and just look no into it. The Cavs have had much more rest and will come out strong. I just don't have a good feeling about this game.

I think we will see the Cavaliers come out just a bit flat to start with, maybe just a bit of rust compared to the Nets, and pick up steam as the game goes. Meanwhile the Nets will come out strong having played and still running on that adrenaline from that last series, and eventually loose steam leading into the fourth quarter where I think the Cavaliers will win the game at.
<div class='quotetop'>QUOTE (Eli* @ May 6 2007, 10:50 AM) <{POST_SNAPBACK}></div><div class='quotemain'>Yeah cavs have had a lot more time to rest and practice. We Might have a chance today.</div>I'm not saying we don't have a chance, but if Carter comes out like he did in game 6, we are not going to even be in the game. Him and RJ need to attack the basket all the time. Who is going to be covering RJ? Pavlovic? He could take him to the basket the whole game, and thats what he needs to do. Kidd will be Kidd. Moore is going to be knocking down that 15 foot jumper to give some help to our offense. Collins will do a good job on Big Z, thats why he is even in the game. What really is going to be the key though is on the defensive end. We need Collins to keep Big Z under control and don't let him dominate us in the paint. RJ will have to keep LeBron from just killing us. We cannot, cannot, give them second chance points. We have to crash the boards and get out on the break. Thats the key to winning this series. If we get out and run, I really like our chances in the series. If we give up second chance points and slow the game down, we will be siting home within a week.
Well, I can't seem to edit my thread because it just sits their and loads all day. I had some notes for the match ups and all but whatever. Go Cavs!
Cleveland ended the 1st half strong. The energy level was shot when LeBron was on the bench, that was horrible, but once he came back in the game they started to hustle and work better together as a team. Pavlovic has shot the ball very well in the 1st half, LeBron isn't scoring but he's doing everything else, Larry Hughes has done a nice job defensively, and Big Z has been a hound on the offensive glass. Hopefully they can come out and pick up where they left off. Vince has done a decent job out there, and I agree with him that the refs missed a couple foul calls where Vince should have gotten to the line, but nobody else has done all that well offensively at all. Obviously having Jefferson in foul trouble hurts the team on the offensive end, but somebody else needs to step up. Nachbar brought some energy, but that's it. Jason Kidd probably has 2 or 4 points at most, Moore probably the same, and Collins is a disgrace offensively as it is. Somebody needs to step up and Jefferson needs to make sure he stays out of foul trouble. Both sides are going to go on a couple nice runs, but I hope Cleveland can pull this one out. They can't let New Jersey take Game 1 on their home floor.
We have given up way to many layups in this game. And the same with 2nd chance points. Take those two things away and we would be up by at least 10 :no1:

Wow!!! What a block by Sasha Pavlovic! That was so reminiscent of Tayshaun's block on Reggie Miller a couple years ago. Wow!
We need to attack the basket now, don't take the jumper.Edit: Why the F*ck is Kidd on LeBron!!! Stupid Frank.Edit again: Jefferson took way, way to much time. What ever, even though we lost I'm very happy. This had to be the worst playoff game we played yet, and we only lost by 4. Kidd couldn't hit a shot, RJ did nothing. Carter was the only one who did anything and he kept turning the ball over. Mikki Moore disappeared during the 4th. Collins did sh*t like usual. Wright did a good job on LeBron the few times he was on him, I was very impressed. The offensive rebounds just pissed me off though. If we rebound better, that means we get out on the fast break. If we get out on the break, more easy points. If we get more easy points, we win. I still believe we could win this series if we just stop the offensive rebounds.
LeBron came up big in the clutch, making two big plays in a row on each end. First, he bulled his way past Kidd and converted on an easy two, then the big block that put it in the bag. Larry Hughes hit two big shots as well, and of course Sasha had the block of the week right before that. Nice win for Cleveland.
It's downright incredible that Vince Carter has not realized how good he is if he just puts his whiny head down and attacks the rim."The Nets live or do by VC"Not because Vince is a superstar and needs to elevate his game, but because his decision making is so inconsistent he either greatly helps or greatly hurts his team. Today, the former was a big (but not the only) reason why NJ lost.
