Who was supposed to write the game preview? Oh well...you guys can all look at my preview in NBA General.Suns have got to start this series well. This should be a great game.
Stoudemire is just a beast. He is killing the Spurs right now. Its a two man show with Nash and Amare. But on the other side Manu is hitting all his shots and just playing great right now. Its also starting to be a very physical game out there. What a great game already and the first quarter isn't even over.
I'll live with that quarter even though we're losing by 1. We are scoring well and Amare is not in foul trouble early. Diaw has also been more aggressive. We really need one of our big runs here.
The quarter was deceiving. The Spurs made the Suns a 2 man show, something that simply won't work as the game wears on.
Jesus f*cking balls. Spurs were hitting everything, that better not happen all game. IMO if the spurs take game 1, the suns will have a much much lower chance at getting in the next round.
Raja Bell is making his shots. Diaw and Marion both missed easy ones but the Suns are up with Nash and Amare on the bench. Come on guys, build the lead!
There is one reason why I'm not a huge Marion fan like fans on this site. How many all-stars do you know who miss open 8 foot jumpers?

He's probably the worst star defender over 6'10 in the league.

The guy chokes in the playoffs, doesn't come up when he's needed, and can only play well in one season. He can't create his own shot, and all he can do is get rebounds, blocks, and steals, yet a lot of people think he's top 15 in the league.

He actually did miss another close one earlier, but it wasn't as open of a shot as that. Don't you watch the games, he always misses those gay floaters. Amare hasn't done a bad job on Duncan at all though...Kurt has been phenomenal so it seems like he's not doing as great when they switch off.D'Antoni was right, that call on Amare was horseshit.Good first half, keep it up.

Rob Tracy of the Elias Sports bureau went as far as to put Marion at #5 in his MVP monitor. Ludicrous.

If it wasn't for those 2 bullsh*t calls on Amare, he would have been even more agressive on Duncan.Great half for the Suns. They forced their tempo, and are playing well. Marion needs to play better on Parker, though. Maybe switch Bell on him?
No, I like Marion on Parker better. Bell doesn't really have any speed on Marion and Marion is taller, he's the best we got against Parker. Bell should stick with Finley/Gino. Those guys can also have huge games.
San Antonio controlled the tempo of the game in the 1st quarter, but Phoenix controlled it in the 2nd. This entire series is going to be based on who controls the pace of the game the most, in my opinion. San Antonio needs to shoot the ball better in the 2nd half. Finley hasn't shot well, Duncan isn't having his way, and Ginobili hasn't been aggressive with his own shot. Parker has done a great job, he has kept San Antonio in the game with his offense and his attacking. If the Spurs are going to steal this game, they need to shoot the ball better and make this more of a halfcourt game than a run n' gun game. Amare has done a very nice job defensively so far. He has been throwing himself around for boards and he hasn't made life easy for Duncan today. He needs to keep this up in the second half. Besides Amare and Nash, the biggest key for Phoenix so far has been their bench play. Barbosa was awesome, once again, and Diaw did a nice job down low as well. Kurt Thomas, in his limited minutes, made 2 nice defensive plays that led to getting his team out in transition. Phoenix doesn't have a deep rotation, but they surely do their job.

I feel Bell is a better man to man defender than Marion, and while not as quick, will give him more problems. It will also allow Marion to help crash the boards more.

Who is the worst star defender 6'10''+ in the league? If you are talking about Duncan, then that's the most ridiculous comment ever posted on this site. If it's about Amare, it's still wrong, and after his nice defensive stand in that first half, that was the worst time to say this. Amare is not a bad defender and you have no clue what you are talking about.
Nice little run at the end of the 3rd, but that play when San Antonio had like 5 extra chances to score...terrible. And it was disappointing to see them not be able to get a good shot off the last two possessions. The Spurs are letting them come back, but they just aren't taking it! This is a huge 4th quarter here...I'm going crazy.
