Would you rather add Butler to CJ, or trade CJ for him???

    EXACTLY.

If CJ is "extremely overpaid", why would Minnesota even want him in general???

Id rather not trade CJ or Collins but after seeing BNM’s posts comparing CJ and Butler. Id definitely be willing to give up CJ. Even if its just a year. Just go big for once...

You're giving Olshey a lot of credit. I think he just took the best players available. Anyway, I've been McCollum's biggest critic since his first Summer League (he sucked) and I'd be glad to see his giant contract gone. His presence kills Olshey's options.

Do people actually believe that the Blazers wouldn't at least call and be interested? It sure seems that way for some reason. It's like certain people forget there are 28 other teams that could potentially be involved too.

I didnt say I believed it. I just posted the link I saw this morning where it didnt have the Blazers listed. Others posted links where they were listed. I wouldnt be shocked if NO wasnt on the phone trying to make something happen.

I’d rather trade CJ and keep Collins... I think a Dame/Butler combo with a balanced roster is better than committing 30 mil to 3 backcourt players that all want the ball in their hands

Nurk is the best player he's gotten through a trade, but he also got Robin Lopez Mason Plumlee, Maurice Harkless, Allen Crabbe, Shabazz Napier, Zach Collins and Gary Trent Jr though trades. None of those guys are superstars, but those were all favorable trades that netted us starters and rotation players.

The only downside is if we trade CJ and Butler bounces next summer, Dame is probably gonna be pissed. Then again we’d probably have the money to go after Cousins. But he’d have to prove he was healthy, and that’s another question mark.

In a vacuum I’d do it. I believe in Trent and Simons as replacements.

Nice comeback. Ad hominem attacks win every time. They totally own actual facts. You must have excelled on the debate team in high school.

Turner and 3 or 4 picks is what I'd be trying to do.

I don’t think Jimmy would leave if they were winning... and if Dame can’t win with Jimmy than this team us probably gone as far as it can go, and it’s time to rebuild anyway

So you would rather give 3 or 4 future 1st rd picks like the Nets did to Boston and mortgage the future, than trade CJ who is over paid... so then we are paying 90% of salary cap to 3 gaurds and lose all future flexibility

Jimmy could be the reason we dont win though, so I dont see how that'd be a Dame problem.

    Jimmy has severe character questions.

Bruh, this post just shows limited knowledge. C'mon man.

Brooklyn didn't protect their picks. We would. That way, if everything went bad, we could tank and keep them, unlike Brooklyn.

So, Aminu starting 68 games at SF in 2015-16 was not factual? Kaman and Alexander playing 148 combined minutes was not factual? This table was not factual:

    upload_2018-9-23_10-18-34.png

That's the difference between you and me. I provide facts to back up my opinions. You spout opinions without backing them up (and resort to ad hominem attacks when someone else provides facts to refute your opinions).

Why would they take worthless protected picks for a superstar in Butler... another team will easily beat that offer
