Jesus Christ, I had no idea that Nash' nose was that bad. I had to listen to the last quarter on the radio because I had a basketball game way on the other side of town. The Spurs played great today though...Tony and Tim came up HUGE....Michael Finley played great like he has the whole series, and even though Manu had a bad scoring night, he rebounded the ball greatly and had some nice passes...I really think the Spurs have this series. They just matchup great against the Suns and they pretty much own them in the playoffs...
I think the Spurs played great but this series is far from over. The Suns showed at times last night that they can score at will on SA. If it wasn't for a few really bad calls against Phoenix and the Nash incident then it's a different result. Amare will be a huge factor in this series, he showed some real pop at times last night, especially that nice spin move near the end. Duncan and Parker seemed to be hitting everything, and trust me they won't do that every time.Any talk of replacing D'Antoni is crazy! The guy has won 62, 54, 61 games the last three seasons and you want to get rid of him because he isn't playing Kurt more?!?

They pretty much got what they wanted. Wait until Manu gets his game together. This series could be short unless the suns play some defense.

They wer ehitting some crazy shots that they might not usually have got. It goes that way sometimes, I can deal with it and move on. The Suns forced some good turnovers last night and played some solid D at times.
Parker has his way with the Suns on a regular occasion, I would expect him to continue to play like he did tonight. He is so fast off of the dribble, that he was blowing around off of picks before Marion, Nash and whoever else had to guard him throughout the game couldn't catch back up. I would expect to see that alot throughout this series, and Parker to continue to light up the Suns like he always does. Lots of the shots he was making were shots he has been making all year, from mid range, and on the drive to the basket. Duncan started getting what he wanted, especially out of half time, because they had Marion guarding him at first. Duncan is a huge mismatch for Marion, and they took advantage of that mismatch. With Thomas and Stoudemire on him, Parker handled the ball alot more and took more shots. They also did not try to double team Duncan as much as what they usually do, and no one on that team in solo coverage is going to be able to stop Duncan. Thomas and Stoudemire will make him work hard and have a much harder time scoring, but they will not be able to stop him one on one. He has to many moves, and a bank shot from mid range that will make it hard for anyone in solo coverage. They didn't hit that many crazy shots.

If you think he had any business driving into the lane and just throwing it up and missing badly instead of kicking out to a more open and capable shooter, then you have issues. He screwed up, and yes he did better than Marion, but had just as many bonehead plays as Barbosa. The Suns are too laid back, they need to strap down, get serious and play perfect.

They don't have anyone to slow him down. Marion is too slow.

It did seem that he got fouled there too.I think the Suns need to win the next two or else it's Spurs in 6, or if they lose tomorrow it really could be a sweep. I'm getting worried because Game 1 was huge. I think Nash will make up for missing those last minutes and have a big game, Amare will also rebound from a sub-par offensive performance and if D'Antoni takes Marion off of Parker he may get more rebounds too even though he always sucks vs. the Spurs. I really don't think we can win though if Kurt Thomas doesn't get any more time. He was doing a great job on Duncan and he can handle him one on one. He was brought in specifically for San Antonio so it's really stupid of D'Antoni not to play him more that a quarter of the game. And Milgod, I couldn't care less about regular season performances anymore. D'Antoni regularly gets outcoached in the playoffs and that just won't do. I want a championship here, not a 60 win season and 2nd round loss.
BEST NEWS EVER, hopefully! Good to see that he's not "Avery Johnson stubborn" Now, as the coaches like to say, "Let's Bust Their Ass!"Suns coach Mike D'Antoni promised changes for Tuesday's Game 2 of their Western Conference semifinals, a strategy that likely includes inserting Kurt Thomas into the starting lineup.Center Amar? Stoudemire told reporters Monday that he thought Thomas would start against San Antonio's Tim Duncan in US Airways Center, but D'Antoni wouldn't confirm anything."Everything's in question right now," D'Antoni said. "We're not going to stray too much time-wise. Some people might see (minutes) at different points in the game. I don't want to go into it too much, but yeah, we're going to make some adjustments."Thomas, the team's best post defender, played 12 minutes in Sunday's loss, collecting four points and grabbing two rebounds. In the first round he averaged 5.0 points and 3.2 rebounds in 11 minutes.Duncan scored 33 points and grabbed 16 rebounds against the Suns in Game 1."Kurt's an excellent defender," Duncan said. "He does a very good job against me. He's very physical, very smart. Obviously, we've played against each other many years. He understands what it brings to the table. I don't think they lose much with him on the floor."__________________
They sure as hell should put KT in the starting lineup. He's the only one playing any damn defense and you HAVE to stop at least 2 of the spurs big 3 to beat them.
Well, reading part of it on another forum, it says that he probably won't play that many more minutes. Still, it could give us a very nice start and our offense may carry it from there...I really hope he at least gets 20 minutes though.Kurt can also get him in foul trouble because he's the master of the flop for big men.
Why move this to the SA forum when the game was in PHX?I think the main thing to do to win is rebound. That and guard TP so he looks bad in front of Eva. hahaah
