Zero evidence of any wrongdoing by Kavanaugh, at any time in his life, was the result of this hearing of testimony today.

The whole charade by the Dems simply demonstrated that Trump has chosen a nearly perfect candidate for the job.

Duh, because it's against the law to knowingly falsely charge someone with a crime for political gain.

Thank you for admitting you don't believe any of the accusations either, and that it's simply more petulant sore-losers obstructing our President and wasting tens of millions of taxpayer dollars doing it.

That was what I was trying to say, but I was too inarticulate. Thank you for helping me out.

So seeing the first accuser be completely calm and and collected and respectful to the senate did nothing while the person she was accusing of these things be completely belligerent, condescending and outright disrespectful did nothing to change your opinion on the issue? Or the fact two others accusing him have high powered and very respected lawyers, who wouldn't' take the case unless they were fully believed the issues were credible enough to take to the trial, hasn't changed your mind then nothing will. This stick you put on for the OT forums where the right is always correct and the left is always wrong has sucked me in way to many times.

I saw a rehearsed accuser field a few softball questions and provide no evidence to back up her ever-changing accusation.

I saw an honest man fight back very convincingly against an insidious attempt to destroy his life and his family's lives.

He'll rightly be confirmed, it's certain after today, but the criminals will continue to serve George Soros as Democrats in Congress.

    Drain the swamp.

...the FBI seriously needs to look into this and if/when they do I think they'll discover that Kavanaugh's behavior as a young man was more than questionable. It does not matter if he finally became a better person and had a good career as a judge, that's not what is question here. It's about what he supposedly did when he was younger...and about him now lying about it.

...there is absolutely no reason for the GOP to ram this confirmation through without exercising due diligence ... the Senate needs to look more deeply into this.

News reports says Flake will in fact vote to confirm Kavanaugh...that's huge.

Of course he did. This isn't a vote. Kavanaugh is the lowest rated supreme court nominee in history. Republicans just tossed away the womens vote which will likely bite them in the ass.

That's not surprising, gotta toe the party line. It's a little disappointing considering he's not up for re-election so he should vote his conscience. Especially considering he had an impassioned speech about this just the other day. But when you've sold your soul, you've sold your soul.

This is just the vote to get it to the senate, right?

It could be a case of not wanting to be the sole vote to deny it.

...I thought about that too, Jules...maybe he's biding his time in order to see if anything else comes out before the main confirmation vote. And he may also want to confer with the other 2-3 "swing Senators" and see where their heads are at and I have to believe that if he does that either all of them will vote yes or they will all vote no, because as you alluded to, none of them wants to be the lone NO vote.

...I'm sure this has been asked before but why wouldn't both Kavanaugh and the GOP, if for nothing else, for transparency, insist on an FBI investigation?

...the GOP held up Garland's approval for 10 months, so why not wait ONE more week so we can be more certain?...Mrs. Ford, Kavanaugh, as well as the SC deserved nothing less. Kavanaugh himself said he wanted "a fair process"...shouldn't that include a more complete investigation?...can't have it both ways.
