Rockets future doesn't look too good.

There is no reason for a team with T-Mac and Yao to consistently be near the bottom of the league in scoring. Against Utah, when his defensive schemes weren't working, the offense was struggling as always due to poorly designed plays.Larry Brown or Mike Fratello would be awesome.

Im not surprised at this....He just hasnt been able to get a whole lot done in Houston. I dont think hes a terrible coach, but there are better out their for the job. Somebody needs to come in that can lead that team and Tracy McGrady past the damn first round.

YES! If this is true then I'll be quite happy. JVG hasn't been able to do much with Houston. I wonder who we can get?

I completely agree with Nitro, I really don't think he is that good of a coach. This regular season was showing you what a healthy Mcgrady can do for the Rockets, more than showing Van Gundy was a good coach. The Rockets will be better off without him this upcoming year.

Almost 95% of the time a coach leaves an organization "mutually," it means that he was truly fired but the organization is letting him publicly announce his own displeasure, so it doesn't make him look bad. An example, Stan Van Gundy. "I want to spend time with my family" my ass, we all know that Riley gave him the boot because he wanted to coach the team again, but it won't say that in the press.

I think it's time. He's had a few years now, and sure TMac has a curse and all, but when you have supposedly 2 superstars, you should get more than just getting into the playoffs. He's just not getting this team to the level I would expect them at.

I really do not think that Mcgrady is a cancer at all. When he was in Orlando he tried hard every game, was always playing well, he just never had all of the help around them. He had a good hustle team around and him that would dive for balls, try hard every game, but they was just not talented enough to go anywhere. Now in Houston, he played as well as you can in the past two playoff series that he has been in with them. He was scoring, setting up as a playmaker, grabbing rebounds, playing solid defense. He just has not gotten the help around him that he has needed. I really do not see him being a cancer at all.

So far with the Rockets he hasn't accomplished much, I think he's a great coach but maybe not in that system, and the rockets could benefit from a change of staff because they have enough talent to make it to a conference final but have yet to reach their goal, I was sure with aquiring the great defensive talent battier and the emergence of luther head they could get out of the first round but theres always next year.
