...if the Yanx win today it will mean that they do not have a losing record vs any team this year (3-3 vs Oakland) ...also 11-9 in inter-league play.

Sometimes one must tip their cap. Watched the on field events of David Wright and the Mets farewell. Wright was a premier player for them and deserving of the accolades received. A very classy move on the part of the Mets & their fans. The Yankees I understand took out a full page add in the New York Post acknowledging Wrights service time, classy move on their part.

Yankees need to kickoff on Boston and Porcellos asses! Cora didn't want to see a train ride to Boston from New York, looks like he's going to get one anyway.

^^^^^ Glad you brought this up.......Cora was feeling very chippy & in reality he was gloating on his team’s
record & superiority....I’m telling you...there is something in their water that makes them think they are better.
A dose of reality minus a manager’s decisions might help!

BaBoone is playing “mind” games. I still do not believe he is capable or sharp enough to be a sly wily fox.....not
with that stupid smile of his!

I cannot believe the regular season ends today. It’s been a crazy, up and down, year.....mostly up
with slipshod pitching.....which tells us how bad some teams have been throughout this season.

Of course, post season is a whole other ballgame.

The concern for Yankee Pitching in the WC Game is real. How well Boner manages that staff is what scares me.

I get giving your starters a rest going into the postseason, and I would like nothing more than to see the Yankees with their cleats on the throat of the Red Sox with no mercy.

It's a fine balance between resting and keeping momentum going forward. Knowing when to do what is crucial.

I used to think it was essential for any team to have a hot September. Important to build up momentum a month and weeks prior; to project Teams into the postseason.

After looking at Stats over the last decade of postseason teams won-loss Records. The majority of teams who have won the LCS, and appeared in the World Series, are often not the hottest teams in September. Ref: [1*]

Much like the NHL Stanley Cup playoffs, MLB postseason is an entirely different season and entity unto its own.

This game is somewhat conceded by both teams, i.e. SP's.

[1*] - IF I get a chance today I will post statistics of teams winning percentages a month prior to the Postseason.
The team with the best record in September rarely wins the World Series, excluding the Yankees of the 90s....

Did not get to see any of the game yesterday, and only got to see half of Alabama game. Hell I haven't even had a chance to see any of the NCAA FB results from yesterday. Didn't even get 2C the highlights of yesterday's game till midnight. Since Thursday night, I have had 3 hrs sleep each night, while tasked with caring for my Father.

I was totally unaware Michael K was retiring. I tweeted him back please talk Sterling Starling into joining you, his Cliches are stale, over used, and anything but fresh or enjoyable
Sterling starling is like listening to a stuttering parakeet...

Let's hope this actually means something throughout the playoffs, and pray Yankees do not take an early exit Swan Dive. They are peaking at the right time offensively. Let's hope they're starting pitching in bullpen is ready and performs at the top of their game...

I would give the ball to Severino, depending on his performance today. Otherwise IMHO give the ball to Happ..

    For this very reason-
