I am looking for more realistic play on both offense and defense. (Jump ball situation, 6'4 receiver vs 5'9 corner you do the math.) Way too many controls for tackling. Kill the hit stick infavor of a pressure sensitive button. A larger playbook inculding custom plays and flea flickers. Lob passes down field should not be intercepted 5 yards down field. Special teams blocking ability has to be addressed. I would like to see more involvement from the coaching staff. The staff you select should have a large impact on team performance and attitude. Increase on and off field injuries (more freqent) and issues (drug, DWI, ect). Player attitude should change based on coaching, location, age, on and off field issues. Need the ability to change a players position (WR to TE / Safety to LB ect). I enjoy the new button configs and I like the how EA is getting better at personalizing the players face and body type, it almost looks like the players in the flesh. The graphics are, of course, the best on the market, however great next gen games should be more than just graphics, but also have quality gameplay. First of all the superstar mode either has to get A) BETTER or HAVE NONE AT ALL. Secondly, it would be much better if the create - a - team feature was reestablished. I was really displeased about not being able to play franchise mode with a fantasy team (a created team.) The next gen Madden games should also feature the "center point" of the Madden series, JOHN MADDEN. There was no commentary from John in Madden '07. Finally, I agree with other previews about the need of a half time show and better Super Bowl endings, etc. I must conlude that MADDEN '08 had better be better than it's predecessor. Superstar mode was not fun last year, there weren't enough features. Now as far as the drafting goes it is possible to draft on the Xbox 360 I was having the same problem and basically what you when you start the draft hit the LB button and then you see at the bottom of the screen that the speed of the draft will change from slow, med, fast and max. Yeah, I meant 2K sports, and it did. But before the 2k sports stopped making NFL games, I still liked Madden better.
2K is releasing an 08 football, just won't have anything to do with the NFL and imo, I'm looking forward to that more than I am Madden.
I like the graphics on the 2k sports games. there so much better then Madden, but everyone is so used to Madden, its just hard to adapt to 2k sports games.
I'd like them to bring back create a team for xbox 360. They had that feature for ps2 but not on 360. I love making a franchise in Hawaii or L.A. etc. :dribble:
