That's what I'd think, but I'd also think that a tribe would have more than 2 women in 1800 if it had a longer history. barfo
There's like 20 different rancherias for the tribe, but that is the one I'm supposedly from. But since the Spanish and Mexicans probably weren't on top of keeping track of the different bands, who knows? They moved up to Oregon 100 years ago and told people they were French, so my father and his siblings didn't even know what tribe they were for a long time.
And in the 1700s there was supposedly over 11,000 tribal members, and that was down to 700 by 1900, so not a not of people left.
Well, that was back in the days when people were still being lynched in the backwoods areas if they found out you were different.
Are you stuck in that insanity that says Obama is not a U.S. citizen? I thought you guys died out in the Jurassic era.
Being born in the United States is a pre-requisite to becoming President. Is it not? If you applied for a job that required a certain degree, would you be upset if that employer asked you to show proof of that degree?
I don't know. I'm sure you could find out if you want an answer. I was just curious what the process is for schools to verify Native American heritage to receive benefits, not necessarily for Warren.
She didn't receive any benefits. That's been debunked but people still wanna act racist calling her Pocahontas. People in her comments section calling her "LiaWatha".... Ask Scott Brown how he fared playing this racist card.
Don't be a dumbass. That's ist some idiot in the comments section that you're parroting. You didn't do one iota of research. You just repeated some bullshit nonsense because it fits your narrative. Just like a Trumpet would.
So it's gone from "she's white" to "she's not native enough". I can't WAIT for conservatives to try this shit in 2020. Get ready to say Madame President!
I mean... the whole thing is ridiculous because she's like 95% European (if I'm reading that right?) How would you react if someone who has a 1.4% African ancestry started saying that they're African American or Black? https://www.cbs46.com/news/suddenly...cle_d94661c3-c155-547e-8242-0f0a052144cb.html Here is an interesting study on the genetics of the United States. It's pretty in depth. https://www.ncbi.nlm.nih.gov/pmc/articles/PMC4289685/
To claim that she's Native American? No. She's not. She can definitely claim that she has American Indian heritage, but to claim that she's Native American on any kind of form is pretty ludicrous. I'm sorry. I'm curious, if a Republican was running saying that they're African American because they have a report showing that they are 1.4% African, how would you feel about that?
Its in the article the very last paragraph. I copied it verbatim from the author's word. Try reading to the end next time.
