Barfo, keep it in the OT. Cause I have literally no idea what your talking about. Nor do I care.

Well, there is the agreement with the city that the franchise can't move till 2023. Don't know if it is unbreakable, but probably would require some effort/money.

The lease is up in 2025, but note that Allen owns the Moda Center as well as the Blazers. Have to believe they'll be sold as a package deal, because who would want to buy the Moda Center if the Blazers could be leaving?

It's still a bigger media market than: Salt Lake, Milwaukee, San Antonio, New Orleans, Memphis and OKC.

Every damn word of it. The odds of the Blazers moving is (at best) 50/50.

And for the record, insulting your fellow fans will neither help the situation nor make you feel better.

Those cities aren't looking to sell the team.

Portland also has one of the most loyal fan bases and is among the top ten in season ticket renewals. Unless your name is Silent Stan Kroenke, why would you want to fuck with that?

Plus here are the markets bigger than Portland:

How many of those are getting an NBA team?

The deal can be broken for $40 million. Which is nothing to someone who is paying a billion for the Blazers.

I mean, I can see him wanting to be competative. Not sure he would be involved in the new look Lakers or get into ownership there. He did have a bond with Portland as a rival, it would be fitting if one of Portland's greatest villans saved the team.

    Money Money Money Money.

The team is for sale and the chances are the buyer will have no ties to Portland, Oregon whatsoever.

Also a city doesn't have to be bigger than Portland. It just has to have more corporate money. Look at Vegas. Sky boxes and corporate sponsorship would be insane.

No. You're fine. Just don't piggy back off my post unless it includes sports content.

And if they move to Seattle, the team would be worth 2 billion .

Ripcityboy, is it ok with you if I respond to Sly thusly:

Interesting, I don't think I ever heard an amount attached to breaking the lease, although it has been a few years since I was last involved in a discussion of it.
