    No, a 50/50 chance him and LeBron end up on the same team at the All Star Game.

    Remember, it's no longer East vs. West. It's Team This Guy vs. Team That Guy with the leading vote getter from each conference picking teams.

    Which is more attractive to a potential buyer:

    1) Having a star player like Dame who is beloved by the city.

    2) Having a bunch of cheap contracts of guys who haven't shown much in the NBA yet like Ingram and having to deal with Lavar Ball?

    You have to look 2-3 years down the line (unless its a quick sale). There's an impending supermax contract for Lillard coming up. Dame is in his prime right now. If the intention to keep on the current path, then yes, Dame is integral. However, the team is a balance sheet if its for sale. You look at the assets and liabilities. Yes, Dame definitely increases the franchise's value due to his marketability and presence. We are in strange times right now though. If the team owner's goal is to turn a profit and then eventually build the team as they want, then Lillard may not figure in to the long term picture. (from their perspective).

    CP3 was traded for assets when the franchise was for sale as well.

    LA would have to gut their roster to pair Lebron with Dame.

    Ingram for sure would have to be in the package.

    They are keeping their payroll low to make a play for KD and Anthony Davis as well. That's their long term plan I believe.

    I just don't buy that a prospective owner would want to buy the team under the conditions that the fan base would be pissed. Unless the owner was planning on moving the team from the beginning which once again seems far-fetched.

    CP3 is a very poor example. He was traded because he wanted out of New Orleans, Dame doesn't want out (at least currently).
