Dirk got to the finals playing big throughout the playoffs. He took your boy Nash out of the playoffs.
Anyone but Nash winning it is fine. Just imagine naming the people who have won three straight MVPS: Jordan, Chamberlain...Nash...

Suns not only had the 3rd biggest turnaround ever in 04/05, they went as far as the heat in the playoffs and only lost to the eventual champs. In 05/06 they played a season without Amare and still won over 50 games. It always irks me when people say 'well the suns have talent around nash'. Um... if those players around Nash were on a team without him, probably only Amare would be scoring near as much as he is now. D'Antoni installed the system, Nash runs it, and perfectly.
It's because he thinks Iverson deserved it two years ago. Fughettaboutit, it's just Serge being dumb again.

And then Kobe averaging 35 a game carried a team of no body's. After that Nash/Dirk last season, but Lebron then Kobe clear top 2 I have no idea at all how Nash pulled that one out stupid voters don't even get me started on that please. LOLAnd about 2 years ago AI did deserve it he finished 4th or tied for it w.e for a reason. Only think is Nash, and Shaq team had the better record. But again depends on the stat diff if it is close fine give it to the person on the better team maybe. But when it was not close that is what get's me mad.2 years ago Nash assists were not as high as now. He did get 3 assists more then AI it was like AI 7 Nash 10. But AI DOUBLED his points YES DOUBLED go check. Nash averaged what 15 a game 2 years ago AI 31 I think 3 assists is 6 points. So he still had him by 10 even when you count in the assists. Not like it was a few points it was DOUBLE.And I was not the only one who thought AI should have won it only thing kept him from winning was the 7th seat, and the lack of talent around him to have a better team. And Shaq should have had it over Nash Shaq had better #'s, but also a great team record just like Nash's team.
It's really too bad that Dirk and the Mavs choked in the playoffs. They were an amazing team during the regular season, and if I didn't see the outcome of that series, I definately would have voted for him also. He fits that team perfectly.

When did that happen last? That is right Jordan.....................And Kobe led a team of no body in a hard west averaged 35 a game made playoffs. Both them should have gotten it over Nash EASY. Nash should have been 3rd last year. And as for AI 2 years ago he finish 4th for a reason man only thing held him back is his team being higher then a 7th seat, and the AI haters damn white voters. Check that stats.............AI DOUBLED Nash point 31 to 15 that's right more then doubled. And assists only 3 diff that is 6 points what about the other 11? You thinking of Nash averaging same assists as this year he had less assists 2 years ago so AI only averaged 3 assists less and double the points.Yeah look at the stats, and tell me he deserved it more then AI. And if you wanna talk 7th seat only for AI why not Shaq also had him clearly in stats, but his team won a lot like Nash's team unlike AI. So even if you want to go to AI's team getting the 7th seat then Shaq should have gotten it.I am saying nothing wrong not being a homer look at the stats 2 years ago and compare AI's to Nash's.And Lebron's, and Kobe's to Nash's last year.
And then look at team records and turnarounds, and Nash was clearly, clearly, clearly the best choice. No way Iverson should have won MVP two years ago...
He clearly deserved it because it was based on the regular season, not the playoffs. He obviously wouldn't have won it based on his performance in the playoffs.

Again only reason was his team getting a 7th seat due to the lack of help AI had.And fine then Shaq should have won 2 years ago he has way better #'s then Nash just like Iverson. But Shaq team was just as good as the Suns. And does not matter AI double Nash in points with only 3 assists diff. And was better in steals also.<div class='quotetop'>QUOTE (MaRdYC26 @ May 12 2007, 09:05 PM) <{POST_SNAPBACK}></div><div class='quotemain'>He clearly deserved it because it was based on the regular season, not the playoffs. LOLAnd that is what I was talking about AI 2 years ago this is a reguler season award so playoffs seating should not matter, and AI's team did get in as a 7th seat not like he missed the playoffs so when he more then double his points, and was better in steals, and only 3 assists less AI should have gotten that mvp not be 4th. But if you really wanna talk about AI's team being a 7th seat BigMo Shaq should have had it like I said also better stats then Nash like Iverson, but also his team had a great offer like Nash.
OMG Serge please shut up about AI for a while. I could start a thread about potatoes and you'd find a way to make it about AI.

And last year I said Lebron, and then Kobe should have got it before Nash again there was nothing about AI.2 years ago though I showed why I though AI should have had it. And even if not AI I said Shaq should have instead Nash. You act like AI is all I talk about. I said Shaq 2 years ago also. And last year I said Lebron, and then Kobe. And I talked about this year saying Nash should have gotten it I thought. You act like all I talk about is AI.
LOL you think AI should've won it? All he did was score. He didn't distribute as much as a PG should. Nash totally spread the floor and made everyone second think whether he'd score or pass. AI was like a 80-20 probability of shooting. Also, notice how the sixers were a lot better for awhile w/o AI and even came into possible playoff picture for a short while. Take Nash away from the Suns and they're as bad as the Sixers if not worse. This is why the award is called most VALUABLE not BEST, duh.
Actually AI put up 33 and 8 a night that year, but Nash deserve it because he turned the Suns into a 50-60 win team after they won only 20-25 games the year before I believe.Serge, everybody here thinks you're an Iverson homer, no point in hiding/denying it.

Sure, he's a good playmaker who can also shoot the ball well, but his defense is sucky and he runs in a system that inflates everyones stats. You can argue that he deserved it the first two years but thats irrelevent, I would much rather give it to Dirk/LeBron/Kobe who deserve one alot more then Nash right now.Having Nash win a third straight award would've ticked off alot of people, I know last year when he won it there was alot of hate here because people thought he didn't deserve it and Kobe got robbed. So no, it's not that he doesn't 'deserve' it because Wilt and Jordan won it when they played, its that I feel other players are more deserving and he is far from a top 20 calibur player.
AI and MVP don't go together. Sure AI is a solid player but he just isn't a consistent enough shooter and he is a poor defender.

And if not Shaq should have if you wanna get record involved. And yes he did he averaged 7 assists 2 years ago that was like 5th in the league I think. So why don't you look again 7 assists is not easy. And unless you are a good passer you don't just average 7 assists man 5th best in the league at that time I think out of no were you must be a good passer.Again they were on a high the Sixers I repeat unless they by some CRAZY MIRACLE win the lottery jump from 12 or w/e top the top 2 pick they won't win a title for 10 years. Yes 10 years, only chance to win it earlier really is if they get a Oden/Durant this year. Or next year if draft is as good as it might be then next year if they have a top 3 pick they might win in 5 years then. The Sixers suck the East sucks there are 6 West teams better then ANY East teams. The East is pathetic, and they were on a high that is why they made that run and got close to a playoffs seat. You feel like you got something to proov that you can still win and not going to sink with out AI. That worse down will see next season what will happen. Are you kidding me as bad as the Sixers with out Nash? ROFL They got 2 all stars Amare, and Marion try again man. They probably even make the playoffs in the hard West with out Nash. HAHA and if they were in the East Amare/Marion would be a lock to make the finals from the East LOL
Actually AI put up 33 and 8 a night that year, but Nash deserve it because he turned the Suns into a 50-60 win team after they won only 20-25 games the year before I believe.Serge, everybody here thinks you're an Iverson homer, no point in hiding/denying it.
He did put up about 7. something assists it was not 8. And 2 years ago AI averaged 31 I think not 33. AI averaged 33 a game last season. And I am not a AI homer I call him out when he deserves it if he turns the ball over I call him out.You just guys act like it's his fault his team sucked all the time. And I speak the truth I showed proov that year he should have won it. And he finished tied for 4th for a reason voters took them barly making the playoffs into consideration. But really that should not matter you need a team to make the playoffs or atleast to be a high seed not just 1 guy. Look at what Nash had Amare, Marion ect.............Shaq that year who I thought should have been 2nd after AI had Wade, and other good role players. AI had bench guys starting with him, and no D around him. It was like him the main man, and then like 2 6th man starting and 2 12th man starting. On title teams those guys that started with AI be 6th man at best more like 10th.
Ummmm....no.The players who have won three straight MVP's are all top 20 players AT LEAST, now if your honestly gonna tell me Nash is a top 20 player you shouldn't even argue. That's why he carried a team of no body by him self to the finals, and got his MVP you moron. He has been top 10 in MVP I think 7 seasons out of 11 in his carrer. He has been top 5 in MVP 4 times I think. And he if he had any help he would have had the MVP 2 years ago when he finished 4th.And last year he had a MVP year even 33, and all most 8 assists but there was a lot of guys who were better not saying he should have won it last year. There was Lebron, Kobe, Nash, Dirk, ect............last year.
