I really believe this Doc contract extension does not matter that much. It is a one-year extension basically meaning if next year goes well, Doc will come back again and maybe be here long term if we get a Durant/Oden, a good veteran point guard, and the young players start to mold into a cohesive unit. But, if the Celtics start off to a 2-10, 0-8, or just simply start off flat Doc will be out of here. He's made some idiotic moves and has been cleaning up mistake after mistake since he took office here in Boston. He turned around an absolute mess of a team in Phoenix in the late 90's, I'd like to see him do it again in Boston
I agree, I would love to see Danny take over and coach the team he built. Like playa mentioned, he did a nice job in Phoenix as a head coach, I'd like to see what he could do. I don't see it happening though. I wish Danny was just our lead scout.
