Good comeback but there are too many holes in the linup right now. WR's and the secodary have major issues. Proud of the team though. They came back and made adjustments. Herbert is supposedöy going to stay anotjer year. Good. He needs it!
Mariota to me is a very average nfl qb, but hes had the stupidest management between coaches and the offense they run. That team has like 0 weapons to work with, and the owner is obsessed with ground and pound predictable football in a league thats made the rules for passing the freaking football...
The team needs a talent infusion. Players like DeForrest Buckner, Arik Amsstead, Kiko Alonzo and Black Mamba aren't there yet. Shit the Blazerd probably have a more complete roster! Give Cristobal a couple of top ten classes and the position rankings will get a lot better. Things don't happen overnight.
Really? I actually thought it was in question? “The option doesnt translate well” is what i thought the talk was? I could be wrong but i thought there were plenty of media not sold on his transition being successful.
NFL fan discussion right now: Giants Fans: JUSTIN HERBERT IS OURS!!! Herbert: Not behind that offensive line. I am going back for my senior season. Giants Fans: NO! YOU CAN'T! YOU ARE THE CHOSEN ONE!
Like Mariota? Oh....wait.... Seriously though, it isn't as if the Ducks lost a shoot-out. They were whipped on both sides of the ball. On that 1st and goal from the 6 in the third qtr, the Ducks coaches took the ball out of Herbert's hands and ran 3 meaningless/pointless/hopeless running plays. That speaks volumes.
Yeah. You know what it says? We can't do anything in the passing game because they have only one decent receiver, Dillon Mitchell. He's the only guy that's gone for over 1oo yards receiving all year. Cristobal is even more committed to the ground and pound running game for this reason. But it's got nothing to do with Herbert. He can't make up or 3 shitty years of receiver recruits under Helfrich and Taggart.
I'm so happy my Cougs won this game. We're in the drivers seat for the Pac 12 North. I hope we can run the table. Big game at Stanford this weekend.
I am not sure that it matters, the pac12 is just awful (including wsu and oregon) this year. Literally Say WSU is the best pac12 team theres still like 15 teams in the country that would smack them around pretty easily. Its almost a relief the ducks lost so they dont end up getting smoked in december / January. Larry Scott needs to be fired for how much he has botched the pc12 tv stuff, and how uncompetitive the pac12 is in the major sports. The Ducks, Washington, even USC has have had a lot of opportunities versus big time programs and consistantly come up short. The best win for the pac12 in the last almost decade was what exactly...? Oregon beating FSU?
