Thorn was asked about Vince Carter's impending free agency. "We would definitely like to sign him," said Thorn. "The more likely move if Carter (isn't re-signed) would be a sign and trade." He was then asked if he was anticipating the current team being back. "Well, we'd like to tweak it a bit. We would like to bring back our base."
I see why they didnt trade Kidd and I dont see why they would trade Carter or get rid of Mikki Moore or RJ... keep them all and get Krstic back and you'll be a contender again.
Well look at it this way, the only person who comes close to being worth VC's money is Gerald Wallace. Not wallace alone, but at least a draft pick. Although if VC stays, you're money will be depleted because imo you should re-sign Mikki Moore.
Vince will hopefully get a 3 year contract somewhere between 20 - 45 million. He wants Peirce type money but he dosen't deserve it yet unless he somehow finds a way to get us to the Finals which isn't likely.

If you watch the games, you see when Jason Kidd is not on the floor, we look horrible. Worse then horrible. Jason Kidd runs the show, we go where he takes us.
