does that mean hybrid cars are the way to go? I think that's cool they run on electricity while under 30 mph, but that won't help on a freeway.
I don't understand how not buying gas will make all the gas stations lower their prices? If they didn't make as much money for a day, wouldn't they need more..and put it up? Lol, weird.Btw, I'll burst the bubble. This has tried to be pulled before and doesn't work. Why are some people so stupid.http://www.snopes.com/politics/gasoline/nogas.asp

Gas is an inelastic good, so our consumption has nothing to do with it. Gasoline companies are making record profits. What's going on in the Middle East has little to do with it, really.
Guys - May 15th won't do sh*t. This whole "No Gas" thing is actually stupid - it won't change the opinions of any of the gas companies one bit. Here's what's actually happening:Gas Stations buy from the gas companies no matter what - so for example...the gas station I work for will be buying 10,000 gallons today. The truck comes in and drops the 10,000 gallons in the station and leaves. That gas stations will have already paid for that gas - so they don't owe anything to the actual gas supplier...the gas supplier has sold its gas and received its money...so on to may 15th - gas stations will have gas in their underground tanks and people don't buy gas on may 15th....who does it hurt? NOT the major gas companies - but the gas station owners who have nothing to do with gas prices - thats a huge misconception. so point is - gas companies won't care and wont even feel this day...the only possible way anything like this could work is if people don't buy gas for literally a week straight.

Wow, then it really won't do sh*t to the gas companies! Maybe we should boycott gas for a week!! just kidding
What happens when the gas station gets full of gas when people don't buy from them? Do they still order? Where do they store it?

My theory is gas prices are going really high now, so come election time they can drop them again and claim how much they have done to help us by dropping the prices..they did this for this years election as well..it's retarded.Gas is out of control...
