The 58-year-old Portland resident is accused of killing Marcine Herinck, an 89-year-old great-grandmother, in September. Authorities say he encountered Herinck on Sept. 18 at a Northeast Portland food pantry and thrift store where she stocked shelves once a week. Mackley was asked to leave after Herinck accused him of trying to look up her dress when he dropped a cellphone on the ground. Authorities say he trailed Herinck home from her volunteer shift. Mackley later broke into the woman's house and kidnapped her, the indictment alleges, and her family reported her missing the next day. Police found Herinck's body in the trunk of Mackley's car during a traffic stop Sept. 24. Mackley was jailed, according to records, and remains in the Multnomah County Detention Center. In addition to aggravated murder, Mackley also faces murder, burglary, kidnapping, sex abuse, and abuse of a corpse charges. https://www.oregonlive.com/portland/index.ssf/2018/10/man_accused_of_kidnapping_kill.html
I'm in Florida these days. I feel like it's more prominent here.. I have found myself knowing of the nearest exits and sitting with my eyes to the doors way more often these day. Call me paranoid if you want.
Florida has a rep. Funny you mentioned it because we just watched The Florida Project with Willem Dafoe. What a depressing movie.
It wasn't really so much about Florida, just about a white trash single mom with no redeeming value whatsoever. Youtube has way worse stuff about Florida.
