yeah, I saw it on espn.com and I cant find it now....if some one could get the link for that please...
I doubt it would happen but id welcome the move as long as it didnt involve us losing a part of our core. Any of our starters(besides PJ brown) wouldnt be worth getting him.
Like I keep saying, Gasol is underrated AND a big man. Alotve people dont realize how good he really is, and not to mention besides the MJ era, a team never wins unless they have a good big man. You probably arent going to get one unless you give up Deng...this is why Chicago shouldve drafted Aldridge(or not traded him if you wanna get technical). Yall might feel giving up Deng for Gasol is too much, but if you were a fan of his, you would see how valuable he is.This isnt taking anything away from Deng, theres a reason why Memphis wanted him. But if you want someting, you gotta give something. Jerry West isnt the type to trade a star for fillers and expirings.
I think Pau could have helped the Bulls get to the finals this year,no matter who they traded, I also think Gasol for Nocioni and Deng/Gordon/Brown would have been tough to do back then, but with Tyrus Thomas coming off the bench to start, I dont see why it would be hard to do in the offseason.Gasol, 2nd Rd PickforNocioni, PJ Brown, and whoever else...but seriously, I swear that I saw a headline on a site talking about this...can someone please find it?
Only way Gasol is going to the bulls is if we get Deng. And Paxson has said he probably wouldve pulled the trigger on it but Nocioni was hurt. But I defiently see why the Bulls didnt want to trade Deng. Chicago is in a tough situation..maybe they can steal a big man with nocioni, thabo and a pick or something.
I don't think they regret making the trade. The Bulls have a lottery pick where they could nab either Roy Hibbert or Spencer Hawes....not to mention they have Tyrus Thomas in the wings. They didn't make the trade for a reason, they knew they had an offensive hole in the middle and didn't pull it off, they feel they can get a player inside without losing their centerpiece SF before next season. For your general ESPN writer that must be too complicated to figure out.
But arent they garunteed that any of those draftees will turn out to be a inside scorer. And Ty Thomas isnt going to be that, if he develops into a star, he wont be a inside scorer. They dont have that hole at SF anymore, they still might trade Deng...you never know. I doubt it, but they might.

I never saw Sweetney play in College, but probably was like Glen Davis...both are really big and swole looking..lol.
I would love to see either Spencer Hawes or Roy Hibbert in Chicago. It would work out perfectly. Second round pick could be someone like Daquan Cook from OSU, a backup shooting guard. I know they have Thabo, but if they draft Hawes, they have no holes to fill.
We really have no need for Gasol, tyrus will develop into a very good player pretty soon. In 2 years this could be one of the greatest teams ever if things keep going the way they are, and ben wallace doesn't slow down.
