I'm going to see this movie now, the reviews are pretty good and it's an aboive-average zombie series, can't wait.
Film: 28 Weeks LaterDate: 05/11/07Rating: 50% (<span style="color:#FF0000">F</span>)The first film of this series was decent, although the camera issues are obvious. As has been stated on every internet site known to man, Juan Carlos Fresnadillo tries to make action scenes more frantic and frightening with sloppy camera work and in doing so makes much of the film almost unwatchable. The characters are also unlikable. There's no clear protagonist, but the closest competitor - Andy, is a twelve year old boy who commits idiotic crime after crime and in doing so jeopardizes everyone around him unknowingly. The plot of the movie doesn't focus on this of course - it focuses on cursing the audience with endless images of gore and useless violence. This film contains the one scene in film history I have had to look away for, and many others come close. Maybe I have a weak stomach, but the frights are few are far in between compared to the aforementioned sloppy scenes of biting, clawing, and dismembering. This film doesn't scare, it momentarily disturbs. That would normally be OK, except that it aims to frighten and in doing so contradicts itself.Minute after minute, this film just takes the viewer through boring and overdone segments of terror that one wants to end as soon as possible. Nothing about this movie is scary - it is simply laziness, overzealousness, and terrible ideas compacted into about an hour and a half.

I can't stand movies where they're trying to make gore and all that look real. Some people watch movies like this non-stop and just desensitize themselves from all violence. What happens when a person watches this movie, and then witnesses an actual person be dismembered?? Are they just going to sit there and watch?! A normal human being could not bare to watch any of that crap, it's just plain wrong!Only physco killers and mentally ill people who enjoy watching people being killed for entertainment like this crap. Now some horror films are fake and supposed to be funny, which is fine, but I can tell 28 Weeks later is just trying to get as close a possible to the real thing. :no1:

Now that was a real man, not a giant vag like you guys.

I don't want to see cheesy effects during a movie. <div class='quotetop'>QUOTE </div><div class='quotemain'>Only physco killers and mentally ill people who enjoy watching people being killed for entertainment like this crap. Some horror films might have some aspects that are funny like Shaun of the Dead. But overall, horror films are suppposed to scare or make you feel uneasy. Give me a break about only psycho killers/mentally ill people enjoying horror flicks. You're a dumbass if you believe that. Your like those dumbasses who try to blame movies for violence in the world. When in reality, out of a million people who watched the same film don't do anything violent.

Your post/argument is childish and wierd....you seem to be bluring the lines between movie fantasy and reality more than the people that watch those movies. Obviously if someones in trouble in real life, you help them, it's human instinct....watching a violent movie for entertainment is completely different....I feel like I'm explaining this to my 8 year old cousin.

<div class='quotetop'>QUOTE </div><div class='quotemain'>err, Shaun of the Dead wasn't meant to have aspects that were funny it was a comedy so the whole thing was meant to be funny.</div>I look at it as a homage to the zombie genre which is in the horror category. To add, Shaun of the Dead does incorporate a good amount of humor(British at that), so it's more of a horror comedy. But I'd still put in the horror section.
